I looked at the Massey Ferguson 1205 4WD hydro. At a quote of $8050 for the tractor, this was $3500 less than the John Deere 4100 hydro. How do these two models compare in reliability and resale? The John Deere dealer is 3 miles away, while the Massey Ferguson dealer is 80 miles away.

How many hp is the massey? Do you know how much their 60" belly mower is? Thanks for your help. Jim ....

I didn't check on the belly mower, plan on using a rear finish mower. The Massey is 19 HP. ....

I was wrong on the HP for the Massey 1205. The salesman I talked to thought it was 19 HP, but it is only 15 HP. The Massey 1220 is 21 HP, more equal to the Deere 4100. The Massey 1220 was quoted at $10,300. I went back to the Deere dealer, and looked at the 4100 again. I bought the 4100 with gear for $10,300. It seemed to fit my needs better, plus the dealer is closer to home. ....
