Can anyone provide some help with the alternator wiring on a Mitsubishi D2050? The tractor runs great but the alternator has a 4 wire plug in on the back that is not hooked to anything, preventing the alternator from charging the battery. The alternator has a power cable running to the starter, but the wire coming out of the plug are cut. There are: 1 black wire, 1 black with yellow stripe, 1 white with red stripe, and 1 white with black stripe.
If anyone could help, I would be greatly appreciative. That is the only thing keeping the tractor from running without problems.
I can provide pictures if needed. Thanks in advance.
Steve

If it helps at all, I checked each wire with a multi meter and the white wire with the red stripe shows a volage output when the tractor is running. That is the only one that shows any voltage when tested. ....

No voltage on any alternator wire with the ignition in the on position. There is only voltage when the tractor is running. The key switch has a wire to the starter on the "starter position" to crank, but there is nothing connected to the key switch in the "on position" except for a wire going to the fuse panel (for lights). ....
