Can anybody advise what the price range is for a new 231 or 431 ?? Both bare tractor and with a loader/bush hog ??
How do these compare in price to Case/Ford-NH/Kubota/Zetor (the other brands that have dealers nearby) ?? I ask this as I am just now getting ready to go out and look for a tractor...I'm starting with MF just because they have been the most responsive to my inquiries for information thus far.
Any advice on these or the 1400 series compacts as an alternative would be appreciated.

I live in Livingston, Louisiana. I got a quote a few months ago from a Massey-Ferguson dealer on a new 231S. The price for just the tractor was $12,500.00 Hope this helps ya'.

Hi,
Also when you are loader shopping , have a look at ALO/Quicke loaders, they are one of the best out there Period. Also, Buhler/Allied are a good brand too!!

Mike: I live in the fingerlakes region of New York and just bought a new MF431. Basic tractor was $15,500 brush hog $1,600. I've opted to wait a year for the front end loader, but they want $4,500 for that. I bought new because sed is so expensive that new makes more sense. Andy ....
