 Connecting hydraulics to Kubota L3010

I have a 2000 L3010 Hydrostatic with a woods 1012 loader. I want to connect a concrete mixer & don't know where to get the hydraulic connection for the single line lift function of the mixer. Any Ideas? I also need to determine the correct valve to operate this single hose dump cylinder. Help... thanks lee dugger

your local dealer should be able to get you a remote valve for it that would take care of it.

If the L series is like the B series, the auxiliary circuit would run from the Power beyond plug on the loader valve, or from the rear hydraulic block of the tractor. I put an auxiliary circuit on my B7800 off the power beyond of the loader valve. Total cost, not including the cylinder was about $250. The "Kits" are avalailable from Tractorsmart, visit their site and the kit numbers and pricing is there. It will cost you quite a bit more than getting the parts on your own.

Surpluscenter and Northerntool are two good sources for valves, fittings and cyliners.

Make sure the valve you get has Power Beyond, you will need it to complete the circuit back to the tractor. From the loader valve, go from the power beyond port to the inlet port of the aux. valve. From the power beyond of the aux. valve back to the PB port on the tractor. The exhaust from the auxiliary valve will tee with the exhaust of the loader valve. From a rear hydraulic block, check out your owners manual, it explians which port is which on the block.

If it's a single hose to the mixer dump cylinder then it's a single acting (gravity or spring return) cylinder. These take different valves than double acting cylinders. If the valve is installed in a PB line from the loader valve, the return should go back to the disconnected end of the PB line, and that line probably goes on the 3ph. In that case the valve couldn't be removed when the mixer isn't in use and both the loader and mixer valve should be PB rated. If both valves are PB rated and have two return lines, the low-pressure or tank line from the mixer valve can jointed to the loader TANK line with a t-fitting or go directly to the reservoir.

If I were doing it I might change the mixer cylinder to a double acting type and then the rear outlet would be useful for various implements. A double-acting PB valve may be easier to find. Don't get a valve with a flow rating much higher than the tractor's pump--high flow ones are very large and may not work as well.
