3 point hitch-slow going down and what s weight capacity

I just bought a used Kubota B7100 and would like to know the lifting capacity of the three point hitch. Also, it is very slow going down-is it double acting or driven only by the weight of the implement?
Paul

Imtools,
Check below the seat for the knob that controls the 3PH response. Movement down is by gravity. Response will be slower with cold oil. I can't find the capacity online (yet) but it is almost certainly less or equal to :
'hitch lift capacity at lift point ... 1356 LB
'hitch lift capacity at 24" behind lift point ... 1058 LB
( the above are for the B7400 )
See if you can get the operator's manual from the previous owner, or buy one from a dealer, it's full of useful info.

Most flow control knobs adjust the rate of lowering but don't affect the lift speed. Adjusting the flow control prevents heavy implements from crashing to the ground when lowered and also how some implements work over rough terrain.

Thanx very much blizzard and TomG.
I found a hex head bolt just below and to the rear of the right seat hinge pivot. It has a jam nut. I pulled it out and it has an o-ring and a stem beyond that that could easily function as a sort of needle valve. I'll try backing it out next time I can start it up (it's too early right now in suburbia).

I was thinking the control would be more like a plastic knob with some +- or fast/slow markings. I would check with a dealer before adjusting the bolt you refer to. My 3PH is slow going down without an implement. I use the control to adjust the response when using the rear rake. Very slow seems to fill in the low areas better.

I hope somebody who knows 7100's comments because what is described doesn't sound like a flow control valve. Like Blizzard the ones I know are plastic knobs--often with hare and turtle icons.

Without knowing the tractor I won't speculate much but the part could be several things. It could be an adjustable relief valve so I wouldn't disturb the lock nut position. Getting a manual would be good.

I'll add one more bit of info to this discussion. The top of the bolt I mentioned is painted orange-as if to stand out as a common adjustment. To be sure, I'll just have to wait until I get an owner's manual on eBay.
Thanx Guys

Most probably your linkage drops due to the 'O' ring
on the lift cylinder being worn or brittle. We have repaired
this problem nearly every time by removing the piston
(accessed by taking cover off under the seat) ,replace O ring and refit. Suggest you buy genuine O ring to make sure
of correct size. The repair is easy for any capable mechanic.

Good luck
BillK

Sorry I mis-read the post first time. The drop speed of linkages is controlled by a valve on top of the transmission case. Undo the 14mm locknut (thin spanner
required) and let the valve out about half a turn. Try
it and readjust if required.

Max lifting capacity is about 200 kg but this will vary
depending on position of load. The further away from the
tractor, the less it will lift.

Bill K
Thanx for your reply but my problem is not one of going down when I don't want it to but rather it being sooo slow when I DO want it to.

I just got the parts list I won on eBay and it shows the bolt I mentioned in my above posts as an adjusting bolt.
