Well, after looking at New Holland and Deere extensively, I decided to give Kubota a try. I looked at a B2910 which is really a great size package for me (3 acres). Then I looked at the L3010. The L3010 was only $400 more but weighs in 1,000 lbs heavier with higher capacities all around. I really like that B2910 but the economics of the matter just don't seem to make sense. Any thoughts?
Heres the stats..B2910 $17,400 Hydro, turfs, small loader, 30 HP
L3010 $17,800, Hydro, turfs, big loader, 32 HP
Thanks

Sounds like a fair price on the B2910, and a great price on the L3010 . . . I don't know what I'd do, because I am still looking, but you may want to consider floor space in your shed/barn/garage - I had a lot easier time fitting in the smaller tractor when I rented, but I'm a little crowded.
Also, had a couple turns/gates/trees that made the B series feel better.
That said, I'll turn over the floor to the esteemed "bigger is better" bunch :)
Good luck, you can't go wrong... ....

Thanks Stan, I'm really torn now. Never thought I would like a Kubota till I saw and drove the B2910. I did notice two things about it that I did'nt like. While the hydro was easy to use, the hydraulic whine was much louder than New Holland or Deere products. Also, the three pt hitch had a small range of travel. My current tractor (JD650) has only enough lift range to lift my landscape rake about an inch off the ground. (this, by the way is one of the reasons I'm looking for something bigger) My John Deere has more than enough power to lift the rake, it just runs out of travel. I will be returning to the dealer with a tape measure to see how high the lift arms are at max height at the attachment point. I will then compare this to my current tractor. ....

Mrwurm, when you mention the 3-point small range of travel on the B2910, ask the dealer if it's adjusted properly because there is a simple adjustment that may have been off a bit. I have no complaints about the range of travel on my B2710. ....
