Fixing a charging system on a b-7200

Thanks for the responce on starting my little tractor.
The charging light stays on for a while after it is running. It will sometimes go off or sometimes just flicker or be dim.
Today I was driving it and the light was dim so I smacked the top of the panel above the key. Just hit it up by the fuel tank.
The light went off and stayed off I checked when I shut it off and the light came on. When I started the light went right off I checked at the battery and it was charging way over on my meter.
Now that is the way to fix things!
