I have a rear blade on my B-2100 and would like to use it for snow removal. I am told I will need skid shoes on the blade to make it work properly. Does anyone know where I can purchase bolt on skid shoes? The blade is old and I do not know who made it. Is there a universal shoe available?

I cannot help you find skidshoes, but I was thinking, just thinking, of adding some industrial grade casters to my blade. They are relatively inexpensive but would require a piece of angle iron for attachment. I have used the blade without anything for snow removal, and the only problem is that the loose gravel on the surface gets pushed with the snow and ends up in the yard. Other than that, it works great. If I did not have grass along the drive, or if the drive was a hard surface I would not bother. I did find that I could lower the blade almost all the way to control how much surface gravel I picked up.

I know of one individual who purchased skids for a pickup truck plow, and welded the mounting brackets to the backside of his 3pt blade. You might look into this. ....
