I know, I know - don't make any modifications to the ROPS. With that out of the way, does anyone know if there is a folding ROPS conversion kit to for the L2500? I just put my tractor away for the winter and it took me nearly an hour to get the ROPS top off. Would like to store it in the barn all the time without doing that everytime (although now I know the trick and it should only take a few minutes). Of course, I need just a few more inches of clearance for it to fit. Modifications to the barn are not feasible.

ROPs top, you have a sunshade? They normally go higher then before when folding the ROPS to lower. There are none by Kubota for sure that I'm aware of being a bolt on. I know we have several fold downs as well as rigid take offs from different sales but I'm unsure of the mounting for you. I know that it isn't good to modify one but for the value gained or lost on your unit do what you have to as it is your tractor. Yes you will be potentially liable for damage to an operator if they are on your tractor and it rolls and they get hurt. What would the chances be? You know that best. What good is something if you don't use it anyway! ....

I don't have a sunshade. What I want to know is if there is a kit that can be purchased to replace the current hardware that is used to attach the removeable top of the ROPS (about the top 8-10" or so). The hardware is 4 bolts and 2 inserts that slide into the ROPS. You can see the ROPS at the picture here: http://erbhenry.com/pages/used_equip_detail.asp?ID=17. You can see the 2 bolts on the one side of the ROPS that connect the top and bottom portions. ....
