Can anyone tell me the approximate value of a 2000 Kubota B2910HSD Tractor with LA402FL loader? My Late Uncle had a small business and used the tractor and loader very infrequently. Probably has very low to maybe mid-average hours on motor. This is for estate value. Thank you. P.S. Does anyone have any info about Woods equipment and how I might obtain value for these pieces also?

Not sure how much your uncles unit is worth Annie but when you determine it let me know.
I may be interested. Where is it located?
I'm in Mass.
Please post how many hours on it if you get a chance.
Thanks,
DT.

Hi
To the gentlemen in MA, I have a 2000 Kubota 2910 with loader and Wood backhoe. I am considering selling in spring.
Machine is located in New Hampshire, has low hours.
I'll determine a price and reply, willing to negotiate.

Yes sir, I am interested in your B2910.
Just let me know when you're ready to sell.
You can reach me at: Tractorstuff11[at]aol[.]com
I'm down on the North Shore, 20 minutes down 95 from Hampton.
Is that Woods backhoe the type that attaches to the tractor frame/sub-frame? Basically, does it bolt up the same way as the Kubota hoe? Same strength, etc?
I've read on this board and others that there is a type of after market backhoe that when used can put too much stress on tractor and bend the frame.
Thanks and let me know when you decide on a price,
DT.

Regarding stress and strain on a tractor due to backhoe use.
One thing I learned from seasoned people who own a wide range of excavators is this. One machine will not be the solution to _every_ job. They've taught me to know the limits of any particular piece of equipment.
The operator has to use care and common sense when digging whether it's a B2910 with Wood's BH, or a Caterpillar on tracks!
I use my Kubota for light landscaping and digging. A times I need to dig deep and through woods, and I rent a larger excavator to do the heavy work. Here I use the Kubota for backfill and grading.
This B2910 is ideal in that it's compact to move around a woods lot and get a job done. Plus the fine tuning mechanisms to set the grader at angle, or 'cruise control' turned out to be really useful.
This is the B2910 FEL and Woods 7.5 ' BH that ties to the rear-end with a quick detach system.
I have heard opinions both ways, where the Kubota 3PH mounted Backhoe is worse on the tractor that the unit I own.
My experienced friends taught me how to dig without hurting the machine.
Unfortunately the Good Lord did not dole out equivalent commom sense among owners, so the buyer needs to figure out if the previous owner was careful enough.
IF buying a preowned machine at discount is too risky for you, then the best safe alternative is a brand new Kubota lease deal. albeit more expensive.
I'll write to you off list.

Jeff your choice is a good one on the choice of the frame attached backhoe over the three point hitch unit. Kubota offers their own frame attached backhoe for most models which extends the frame from the loader all the way to the backhoe. ....

Thanks very much, I value your experience and opinion very much in this forum. SUrely many others feel this way.
I for one find the sub-frame mount a superb machine. The fine art of operating it smoothly to avoid jerking the unit is important for long life.
And many other things.
Tractornewbie- yes! I did see your corrected email address. I wrote to you today!
