Has anybody found a cheap automotive oil filter in place of the expensive kioti filter? I have a Kioti 1910 tractor.

Secondly, has anyone experienced weak hydraulic lifts/pumps on the 1919 front loader? Sysem is rated around 700-800 lbs and 1100 break but I can't lift over 650. Fluid reservoir is full. System has trouble lifting my 5 foot snow plow attachment that I bought from my Kioti dealer.

No filter will filter out soot. The loader, if it is a KIOTI loader, is rated at 630lbs at pivot pins. If you lift 650lbs you're doing fine.

Only 4 to 10 micron bypass filters will remove SOME soot. These systems are only found on fleet equipement or a fanatic that will spend the $200 + to have one installed for a personal vehical. They do extend/protect the engine !!! My dad has one (AMSOIL) on his cummins diesel in his dodge and there is a large difference in just oil color between oil changes never the less removing the impurities the stock oil filter misses or the oil keeps suspended. ....

There are many differences in construction and materials from one oil filter to the next. You might want to cut off the cap of a spent, original Kioti filter and do the same with your new cheaper replacement. You should be able to make enough visual inspections to see if the $8.50 Kioti filter is worth it. I plan on doing this when the first oil change is due. The factory filter is not a WIX, but most NAPA stores have a WIX cut-away on their counter for sales reference. A Kioti factory tech rep indicated to me that they have not had any problems with their oil filter brand, but they have with other brands. Of course, Kioti has a vested interest in selling original parts. I wonder why the Kioti factory filter weighs so much. Be careful! ....
