John, just in case you are not aware your local JD dealer will see you a ROPS at dealer cost to fit your 650. It's an incentive to get more of them installed for safer tractors. I just bought and installed a ROPS on my '81 750 last month. Turns out the 650 and 750 use the exact same ROPS. It came will all the grade 11.9 mounting hardware and can be put on by one person. I did it myself, with a winch and some elbow grease to get it in place. Oh yeah, I paid $250 for my ROPS. Good luck....Keith ....
