John Deere JD 420 Shifter Stuck

I have a 420 J.D.that has a slide bar shifter for high range & low range It is locked up & I cannot get it to move any suggestions without breaking in the middle

try taking the top cover of the trans. shirt leve and all. then try to unstick it. you have a possible loose or worn out trans forks. good luck. ....
