I just bought A 1997 JD 855 HST With Loader for 10200.00 with 375 hrs.Do you think I got a good deal ? And Also Could someone please tell me the truth. Can I install a backhoe on my 1997 JD 855 if so what brand fits it PLEASE HELP !!! Thanks

Rick, The only backhoe you should consider putting on a 55 series is the JD #7 frame mount. I owned a 755 which I sold in 2000. The 55 series were light duty machines and would not take alot of stress. The price you paid was in the ballpark. If you don't get anyother replies and want more info. just e-mail me.

Rick--I have a JD850. I have been using an Arps 70 which is the manufacturer of the JD#7. Works just fine and I have gotten a lot of use and utility out of it. Note that its slow--you won't be diffing many cellar holes. ....
