ok so i am a soldier in the US ARMY, currently deployed to IRAQ. when my unit got here we were given a gator by the previous unit. i dont know the year, all i know is it has 6 wheels and its a diesel and has a belt running from the trans to the engine. the problem is that it has no power and takes forever to pick up a little speed. if its in neutral the engine revs up just fine but when u put it in gear its a slug! can anyone give any info on this problem??!!

thanks, SPC Waylon Brown

There is so many things that could be wrong, it's hard to know where to start. How about a new drive belt. How about a new air filter. Motor could have sucked in sand and ruined the cylinder walls. Can you take compression on it? Compression would tell alot. Does it smoke black? gray? Any info would help....... ....
