oil leaking from shift lever in rear trans-axle on gator hpx. Is there a o-ring that need replace or something worse?

I haven't had this problem, but there is a sensor of some kind on the bottom of the transaxle that apeared to be leaking around the threads, but in reality the fluid was leaking thru the sensor. I don't remember if it was the HPX or the XUV. ....

this leak appears to be were the shift lever inters the transaxles and it bubbles like air is coming out. ....

There is a bushing and an o-ring under the hold-down plate. O-ring is CH10570. ....

This is on a hpx 4X4 and located on top of the rear axle. ....

I believe you would have to remove the shaft toward the inside of the housing to remove the o-ring. That would mean you would have to split the case halves. It could have been nicked when it was first put in at the factory and is just now going bad. ....
