JD 160, all gears except 2nd work,what could be the problem?

It could be several things. Bent shift fork? Lift 1st gear gate out of way and try just a little farther in. What does gear box oil look like? full of metal, chunks, fillings etc. If oil full you'll have to take the gear box apart. ....
