I just added a backhoe attachment to my Jinma 224. It seems back-heavy - has anyone out there had experience with the backhoe on a compact & have you experienced any limitations?

No, it's a 3 point, but does not run off the PTO, has its own sealed box. ....

I have had a backhoe on my compact tractor for years. I also have a front end loader. When I take the backhoe off of the tractor, the rear end can feel light as the backhoe provides adequate ballast to offset the loads in the FEL. A similar thing happens if the backhoe is used without the FEL but the front end gets light. It comes down to a matter of weight balancing on the tractor.
When I use the backhoe I pretty much lift the tractor off the ground with the FEL and backhoe stabilizers. I never use the backhoe without the FEL. My backhoe is a frame mounted unit. It is quite powerful and will move the anchored tractor around when I am in tough digging. ....
