I have a reconditioned Ford 8N. Good shape, everything works. New bar tires, battery, paint, hydraulics. What is it worth? What would it be worth on trade in?

Around here, probably $2500-$3500 for a nice 8N. Trade-in, less than half of that.

Bill ....

Here in SE Michigan, my dealer wouldn't take my reconditioned 9N for trade for several reasons: Many Ford employees in area who get A-plan discount on tractors drive the cost of used prices way down (On A-plan I saved $3200 on my '03 NH TC33D). He said the "reasonable prices" of new tractors makes them "affordable" so why go with used?. He offered to sell mine on consignment holding back 10%, but siad I would be lucky to get no more than $1800 retail. I sold it later for $2400 (I paid $800 and put $800 into it and used it heavily for a year) ....
