Case 580E Tachometer Runs backwards

Anyone know what causes the tach to go in reverse? I'm simply trying to get it to work right, like I like to see all instrument working properly. When I pull out the dash there is only a large plug connector. Thanks

If it's an electric tach, then you might have your wires crossed or polarity backwards. If it's mechanical then....your engine is running backwards? Not likely...stumped if its a mechanical tach. ....
