Go Bottomrebuilt power shuttle leaks at shaft seal

As I unloaded the rebuilt power shuttle that I bought for my 480C today, oil poured out of the drive shaft end. The new seal should not let this happen in my experience. Before I drive the hour and a half back to town tomorrow, am I missing something here?

If the driveshaft was not in, would the seal be able to work? ....
