Anyone had any experience purchasing reconditioned power tool from one of the internet sites. I am looking to expand my woodworking shop and the prices for reconditioned tools seem awfully inviting. Porta Cable, Delta, and Bosch all seem to have great buys. Very interested in your pros and cons. Thanks for your insight.

I bought a reconditioned Dewalt DW708 Miter Saw about 4 years ago from Harbor Freight, saved about $100 versus normal retail. Also two reconditioned Milwaukee 4 1/2" angle grinders from a local factory authorized repair shop at about a 30% savings.
I've had no problems with these and feel it is a good way to save a few bucks but will only do it on quality name brand tools such as these and the ones you listed.

I always wish Milwaukee would have the tool I need in reconditioned. I have had no problems and they carry the full warranty. The ones I bought could not be told from new, or had only some light brush marks. ....
