Just picked one of these up in a package deal and I have no idea how to use it. Has anyone here ever used one or something similar? Not sure how to let the bar down...it seems to be locked in the up position somehow. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance,

There's a bit of help in the archives by searching on 'sickle.' From the comment there it sounds like it may not be a straightforward hookup to a modern compact.
Apparently these things are maintenance intensive. Somewhere in the archives there is a very good post on setup and adjustment. I couldn't find the discussion but maybe somebody remembers who posted it.
