Which is better - a solid or laminated wheel on the back of a BushHog?
I have a solid wheel that after one year has a small piece chipped out of it.

IMO the laminated wheel is better for the very reason you mentioned. I've seen the solid wheels cut completely into. Now, I always suggest that a precut walk be done so that nothing sharp or large enough to be ejected from the mower and endanger anyone is present, but we all know how people are. I use pneumatic tires on my finish mower but have a laminated wheel on the rotary cutter. ....
