Steiner S-20 muffler interferes with loader frame

I just bought as older Steiner S-20 with the Onan engine, and a loader which I believe was on a 420. Problem is the muffler sticks out the side about three inches too far to allow attaching the loader. I'm fairly handy with metal and tools, but I look and look and don't see a good solution re relocating the muffler. Any ideas please?
Also, is there a Steiner discussion page? This page seems to get very little participation (I'm used to the Farmall Cub page which gets several dozen posts/day). Thanks...
