I'm sure their product integration will change once the new model is released. They had a limited product mix when the F150 EcoBoost was first released. The Ford F150 was awarded Motor Trend's truck of the year.

There are allot of good changes coming out of all the auto companies. I'm working with Chrysler on some fixturing projects for a new 8 speed RWD transmission. My next vehicle is going to be a Chrysler product because of loyalty to my business customer base.

Chrysler gets allot of bad press. You should drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit edition to see where they are heading and capable of. The saddle tan leather is an awesome beautiful interior,as are the dual moon roofs. An air suspension package offers different heights, depending on terrain and lowers at expressway speeds for better aerodynamics. It has rock climbing capabilities. (i.e. real 4x4)

Didn't know if you would ever consider a Ford. They are doing some interesting things with the Eco-Boost system. If you go to their website under SUV's and Crossovers you will see a new Ford Escape is coming in the Spring that has been downsized as a 2013 model. It has an I-4 1.6L Eco-Boost that is yet unrated. I guessing in a 4X4 model it will have atleast a highway mileage rating of 32 mpg. Guessing it will have the power of a 2.5-3.0L engine.

They are now also offering a 2.0L I-4 Eco-boost in the Explorer that has a 28 mpg rating but doesn't indicate if that is for a 4x4 model or 4x2. The Explorer platform is a fairly large vehicle by today's standard.

In the F150 series 1/2 ton pickups, the V-6 Eco-boost has really taken off and has more power than some smaller V-8's and matches the performance of a 6.0L V-8 with better mileage.

We had about 4-5 inches last week in the Saginaw area but it all got washed away with over an inch of rain a few days later. The amount of snow diminished the further North you went. The UP has also had some snow which has melted a couple of times already. Getting anxious to jump on the snowmobiles!

A 39HP 4WD tractor should be able to pull two 14's. Besides a 50 x 300 ft. plot isn't that big. I plow at least that much with a 1x14" on my 27HP tractor.

Is traction the issue or power? Is your plow set up correctly?

Depending upon what tasks you do, going larger may limit you.

I've understood that the "Blue" and "Red" tractors are basically the same from CNH and wonder why we never hear of the problem on "Red" tractors.

Many tractor brands have had the same issue, which can result in serious damage to the tractor.

My Cub Cadet had this issue and my dealer found a service memo which discussed adding a re-enforcement member. Very few dealers knew about the fix.

In my case the loader was built by Woods and the bracket was available also thru them. Haven't had a loose bolt since.

I have had lots of problems with my Generac also. I have a Karcher electric that does about 1500 psi. It doesn't pump near the volume nor pressure as a gas powered. Have had it for about 10 years now. It can still rip up the deck if the wand is too close.

There is a lift arm link between the mowerdeck connection and the actual arm that does the raising. On one side, several holes are provided to pin and lock with a hair pin clip. This will allow you to adjust lift height slightly. On the opposite side is a link with an elongated slot and threaded connection. That allows you to match the height and also adjust for leveling.

Cadets use right hand threads for mower blade attachment. Placing a short 2 x 4 piece between the end of the mower blade and the deck lip will jam the connection together allowing you to wrench off the nut. Always lube the thread with a generous amount of oil. (used motor oil is good).

Some deck assemblies use different size (length) of blades which usually is a set of 3 blades. As an example the outside ones may be longer than the inner blade. As the blades wear from use and re-sharpening, you may lose some of the blade overlap which is noticeable when doing sharp turns.

Decks set-up to also be used for mulching usually have a higher deck height. This allows the cut grass to tumble inside and get re-cut several times before discharging making for smaller clippings. Decks not already designed for use with mulching blades generally do not give good results. Sharp mulching blades and mowing often at the desired height is essential for that type of operation.

The Cub Cadet 7000 series was an older Mitsubushi design that went thru several model changes. When Cadet and Mitsubushi parted ways, Mitsubushi sold the design to Mahindra. A 7275 was 27HP and "5" indicated a hydro. A 7300 was slightly newer with 30 HP and "0" indicated gear drive. There was also a 7200/7205 and 7260/7265. The 7300/7305 model had boosted the HP over the 7270/7275 with the same cubic inches and had a new/stronger loader. Woods built the loaders for Cadets. From your Mahindra model number, I'm assuming it is a 30HP. Don't know about parts interchangeably but they look very much alike except for the paint.

If you are mowing around fruit trees, suggest you get the largest mower deck you can operate and fit between. That way the deck projects a good distance beyond the width of the tractor, so the height of your tractor won't get tangled in the tree branches. A 45HP tractor should run a 7ft. deck without any trouble.

It may take you a little while to get familiar with mowing with a rear mower deck. You need to look behind you, while you are navigating around trees. Likewise, rear mounted implements turn the opposite direction for a bit when pulling away from objects and can be slow to come back or really swing in fast.

We call that either stone-mix or stone-crete. It is available in a couple of different size stones. As Murf says, it will pack down and be a little soft for a couple of weeks out of the year. Once packed, I scatter some smaller stone on top as a top dressing for a smoother surface for walking on, etc.

Stihl makes a small rototiller that can have rubber paddles added as an accessory which is roughly 2 foot wide. It is used to clear the stone off the grass and get it back on the driveway. It's much easier than a rake.

To my knowledge there has never been an official recall. Many dealers had been informed about a re-enforcement bracket that could be purchased. Most dealers however were unaware of the situation.

I just happened to notice that my bolts were really, really loose (one had fallen out) and that after continual tightening they would vibrate loose again. My dealer was able to find the up-grade bracket, which Woods actually built for Cadet. Woods also built the loader(FEL). Woods price was lots less. I purchased this from Woods through my local dealer. Turned out that it didn't exactly fit since my tractor also has a mid-mount PTO. I work at a machine shop and had the guys alter it. Its been in use now for about 5+ years without a problem (i.e. no bolts loosening).

If you look at our TP archives you will see some discussion about this. I had stated a warning, but most owners are unaware of the situation!!

It has been an awesome tractor for me. Mine is a 1994 model that I've owned since 1996. Luckily through preventative maintenance I found the loose bolts. The repair cost is high. My local dealer has repaired a number of these.

I have a 27HP Cadet with hydro having 3 ranges. Hi range is good for road travel, mowing on flat terrain and light snow removal. Mid range is used for heavy snow removal and light plowing and digging into a pile of dirt with the loader. Low range is for real heavy work, plowing with a single moldboard plow 10" deep in hard clay, digging into a solid dirt pile with the loader, etc.

Some tractors have 2 fuel line filters. When you change fuel line filters be sure to get all the air bubbles out. When changing the fuel filter within the bowl, I leave the bowl slightly loose and slowly turn the shut off "On" allowing the fuel to overflow passed the threads and o-ring seal. Once the bubbles are gone, I fully tighten it. If you have air within the fuel line past this filter, crack the line going into the engine and do the same. Wipe up the mess since diesel with stain the paintjob. I also use rubber gloves.

You may want to disconnect the fuel line going to the engine and at the fuel shut-off bowl and blow the line out to insure it isn't clogged. At that point you would repeat the above first for getting the air out of the shut-off and then bleed going to the engine.

You wouldn't by any chance have a stuck brake, causing drag. If you have a slight incline or hill, drive the tractor on the slope and put it in neutral range while the engine is idling. It should roll down by itself!

Another cause is starving starving for air. Check the filter as mentioned by others.

My tractor does not idle much below 1400 rpm. For light/medium duty use, I generally run about 1550-1700 rpm. For heavier work I run about 2200 rpm which is also the speed to run a pto at 550 rpm. Rarely do I go above that.

At 2200 rpm and low range with locked differiental, my turf tires fail me before the engine dies.

I recently had trouble and changed the fuel filter and started using a fuel additive. Seems like I got about another 25% more power. It was a slow degradation that you don't notice. My unit is a 1994 model.

1. Change the Oil and Filter
2. Clean the air filter and or replace it and blow off radiator.
3. Grease all fittings
4. Check coolant and or possibly change it or add rust inhibitor.
5. Check battery terminals and clean them
6. Drive it around, listen for weird noises, etc. Run the PTO and operate the FEL if you have one and the 3 point hitch.
7. Check tire inflation

If it is a standar 55 od x 30 id x 17 thick taper roller bearing the SKF bearing number is 32006X. That bearing should be available from any local bearing company or industrial distributor. If you go to skf.com and enter that number in the search you should be able to see a picture of it for comparison.

You should also consider beaver activity. If they are prevalent in your area, a pipe is very easy for them to clog up. I'm a shooter rather than trapper, so the potential of bullets ricocheting off rocks or concrete should be a consideration.

Do you have the same noise, slow moving problems in low and mid range? Likewise, are your engine RPM's above 1600 when you are experiencing these noises.

I once had a similar problem with my 7275 at about 600 hrs., but was jerky motion. The filter was dirty and had collapsed from the suction. My dealer told me to always use the Cub Cadet filter and be sure of the correct fluid and viscosity.

P.S. If you are running a low RPM in to high of a range with too much load, the tranny is noisy plus the foot pedal is hard to push. Lower range and more RPM's generally makes this go away.

I bought a windbreaker cab from Tractor Supply. It's universal side entry and now sells for $229.95. Not all that sturdy but have had it for nearly 15 years. Search under "windbreak cab". If you look at my pics you will see it. A 3 sided cab does wonders for your situation. A good snowmobile helmet with heated visor is $180.00 plus coat is $130.00 and bibs are $100.00-boots are $90.00. If you are a snowmobilier that may be different story.
