Most likely you recently changed the belt. I have a Cub 147 with a 42" deck. No aftermarket belts will properly work on a Cub. An OEM belt will work properly. The belts are more expensive but there are no other options. Good luck

I have a B7800 and the hydro fluid fill is located above the rear PTO and is sealed with a rubber "cork". The rubber seal is very tight so use caution to not damage it. I find WD40 around the rubber seal works well. Good luck.

Did you check the safety switch on the clutch? Also; the safety switches on the mid and rear PTOs. I also have a B7800 and the mid pto safety switch came loose and slid about 1'8 inch on the frame so it was not fully depressed preventing ignition.

Is the battery & starter properly grounded? Are there any safety switches that are comprised?.- ie: switch under the seat or in gear or does the clutch need to be depressed in order to start. I once had a similar problem with a Kubota. I had a broken wire inside of the insulation of the wire leading to the dynamo. Drove me nuts but I finally found break. Good luck.

I believe it was the F wire. It was about four (4) years ago. No trouble since. Good luck.

Visited the dealer today...worthless trip. I solved the problem by drilling holes the same size as the mounting pins approximatels 4"s behind the existing pins on each side of the bracket mounted on the sliding rails. Fitted a lenghth of round stock thought the holes to protrude beyond the bracket the same lenghth of the existing pins. Fitted the mounting brackets mounted under the seat to the new pins. Problem solved. Hopefully the this will be helpfull to any members with the same machine.
