It will go in if you have a torch, welder, and new motor mounts (after you have altered the frame with the torch and welder), new fuel tank, new fuel lines and filter, new electrical system, dash lighting and ignition, new air intake and muffler, new coolant lines, etc. I'm sure I forgot something. Long story short, it will go in, but.................

Ask your dealer how many drive clutches John Deere has replaced world wide under warranty because they stick and don't go back to the fully open position at idle. Good test is take the belt off and compress the clutch by hand and see what happens.

If you can't see the ignitor on top of the motor, it doesn't have a separate one. Some of those on line pix have an ignitor pictured that is not compatible with the Gator. You will have to go with the new style coil. Also your motor should have plastic fins on the flywheel, older 4x2s have fins cast into the flywheel. The plastic finned flywheels use the newer coil.

No sensors. The fact that it runs sometimes could mean that the ignitor part of the coil is bad. Seems that's the only thing left, stator only charges the battery...........One other thing, check the shaft key for the flywheel and make sure it's straight and tight.

There is a regulator on the right frame rail with a 6 or 8 prong plug that will get dirty sometimes, unplug that and clean it real good. I assume you cleaned ALL battery terminals with a wire brush, the ground on top of the motor could be a problem. Save that module, if you have the HPX any length of time, you'll need it..............

The fuel shut off solenoid has 3 wires, black is ground, the other 2 are pull voltage for the solenoid ( white ) and hold voltage ( red ) after it has been pulled. The hold voltage comes on when the key is in the run position and the pull voltage is there in the start position. If both stay hot all the time it can cause problems with the solenoid. I would unplug the solenoid and check to make sure voltages are there when the ignition is in the right position. Red wire hot only in the run position, white only in the start position. Problem could be start relay, ignition switch, solenoid itself or ??? I don't think your starter solenoid is bad.

You can change buttons without taking it apart. Twist the two sheaves until you can get a spacer ( I use a 3/8 drive 1/2" socket )between the two helixes right below the button. That will give you enough room to work. You have to take them apart with a press.

If it grinds going into gear as well, you may have an issue with the shift collar meshing with the forward gear. Good way to tell is if it grinds going into both forward and reverse it is probably something outside the transaxle, like idle too high when shifting or the linkage out of adjustment causing it to jump out of gear. If it only grinds going into forward and it jumps out of gear sometimes, it is most likely the shift collar and forward gear. Forward gear is used most often so it will wear out faster than reverse.

Clutch has to come off and apart to change rollers. Special tools needed to remove and dismantle clutch. Tools avaliable from Deere. Would be cheaper if you could borrow them from a dealer.

If you go to deereparts.com and sign in, go to gator then xuv 620I then filter, fuel in alphabetical index you will see that the large filter on the frame rail is an AM117584 and the small one #28 on the page is an AM107314.It looks to be very close to the intake side of the fuel pump.

You need a new float needle in the carb.................Take the carb off and take the bowl off. Turn the carb upside down and look at the float, if it dips down in the front the needle is worn out.

Most of them leak around the rim. Take them off, lay them flat and spray around the rim and tire with Windex or ??? and check for bubbles.

If you have a diesel it's a Yanmar. 3TN68 or 3TN70. The FD620D is a gas motor.

There are two stages of power to the solenoid. One is hold voltage when the key is turned to the run position and the other is pull voltage that occurs when the key goes to start. Pull voltage activates the solenoid and shuts off when the key goes back to the run position. Hold voltage keeps the solenoid activated. I don't remember which is which, red and white are the two wires. If both stayed on all the time that could increase the amps and heat the solenoid, I guess. Or the new solenoid could be faulty. If both the red and the white wire stay hot in the run position there is a problem in the harness.

I'm sure if you took all the rear tires and wheels off you would see that they are mounted the same place on both rows. You also could have the same tread tires made by different manufacturers. Could be your tire pressures are off or front tires could be low allowing the middle set to look high, or fronts could be a different brand and have a lower stance.

Things to think about if changing from diesel to gas. Frame/motor mounts, wire harness,gas tank/fuel system,drive clutch, muffler, alternator are all different. I know I forgot something. Not an advisable swap.
