Is there a test for module? Is there a special proceedure to remove and replace module. My maint. book does'nt give much on this item, hate to spin that much and it not be the problem.

Replaced Ignition Module and it did not correct problem.What else could be causing the starter problem? See first post under gator will not start for more info. ....

No test that I know of, but they go out with many different symptoms, yours being one of them. Removal is unplug, remove two bolts. Replacement is the reverse. Actually you don't even have to bolt a new one up to see if it will work, just plug it in and it should run just hanging there. I know it's a lot of money to spin, bad thing is, the dealer won't let you un-spin it after you spin it.( no returns )..................... ....

There is a regulator on the right frame rail with a 6 or 8 prong plug that will get dirty sometimes, unplug that and clean it real good. I assume you cleaned ALL battery terminals with a wire brush, the ground on top of the motor could be a problem. Save that module, if you have the HPX any length of time, you'll need it.............. ....
