I get it done at the dealership along with every other service item . I do it every 4-4.5 K miles . It's a bit more expensive to go that route . But then I don't have to worry about finding a large enough container to hold the old oil or disposing of it .
It also gives me a set of reciepts to prove that I've serviced it regularly should the need arise for warranty work . John

I've never heard anyone bad mouth them . They seem to be good value for the price. I do have two questions however .
What size ( Hp , Model) are you interested in ?

I doubt if they were designed independantly . I'd say that the most likely reason is for clearance issues .
BTW You're a good man for saying you'd tone it down a bit .

I own a Kub 3130 and love it . But both machines are real close as to specs , ETC . There really isn't a lot in it as far as difference . Go down and sit on both machines , test drive them and see how they fit you . Your back side will tell you a lot ! Also give a good hard look at the dealer . When it's all said and done He'll make a big difference . Either way you go , I'm sure you'll be pleased with your choice . John

Wiggly . Not A tree hugger by any stretch . But, How does the bio Diesel hold up in the winter ? Does it "wax " up ?
It's very limited as far as being available here . I'd like to try it , just to see how it performs . John

Stump.. I'd try aux lights on the ROPS. It'll give you more light at a better angle than the stock lights . John

I have to echo whats been said .The only way to find the best machine for you is to try them all . Try to find a machine that fits YOU . Also try to find a dealer you're comfortable with as well . to steal a quote from someone else .. "You buy atractor once ..... You live with it forever . " Shopping a dealer is as important as shopping for tractors . John

I just talked to him today . I see that the site has been updated to include the Joystick and Rops mounting !
I guess it's Dumb question time .. But What is the purpose of the long angle iron box assembly ? and does the joystick mount to it instead of drilling the fender of my tractor ? John

As You asked for ANY Thoughts :) I'd go for more than one remote while You're taking the trouble to install it .
You can then have top link control ,as well as tilt control . I only had my tractor plumbed for one valve . But i should have gone for at least 2 remotes . John

Nope! They are made in different countries by different companies . Both tractors are high quality . But they are trying for a different market. Kioti (IMHO ) is going for the no nonsense ,work it hard buyer . Kubota is going for the work it hard , but I'd like some extras buyer . All that seems to be changing with the new CK series .Personally I think it's great ! Competition always improves things . John

Dealers are a problem with Kioti ... They don't have as much of a network as the Big 3 . As far as MF ... My only experience with them is an OLD 135 . It was a good machine . but it was old ( like me ). If you do however have a MF dealer , Go over and test drive a 2300 . It might be what you're looking for . I like your idea of supporting your local dealer very much . But , in the long run ,you have to ask if they'll support you . In most instances I'd say yes . But because it's not local, don't rule out other brands . Kioti, Mahindra , Branson ,century all have some good products available . It's up to you to do the research and decide what you need ,and the overall price . I guess what I'm saying is ... Don't settle on a NAME , Go with the machine that fits you ,and your needs . John

With 65 acres I'd suspect that the 3830 would be your best bet .Not that I have anything against the 3130 ( I own one )<br>
But With that amount of land , I'm sure you'll be doing a lot more with it than I am on 4.5 acres . I don't plow or disk, so I believe that the advantage in power will offset the price difference .<br>
As to trans type ..... That's a matter for more qualified people than I am to answer . John

I belong to two other sites . One is kind of slow . The other is very active and has some good info . <br>
However , When I asked some questions about chains and fitting the subject was sort of "danced " around , without a clear answer . <br>
I made the same basic post here ,and got very specific help with my questions . Made a believer out of me !!<br>
