I tore my rubber boot off my BX 23 and had to replace them. Ordered the boots at the dealer they were cheep, but the fun part was putting them on. You have to take the seat and fenders off so you can get to the bolts and remove the drive shaft you have to remember they build these from the ground up, so that means you have to work from top down, all in all it was not a hard job they just have a lot of bolts that you have to take off. Time it took me maybe 4 hours and don’t run your tractor till you or who ever replaces the fan the fan cools your hydro pump.

I have a BX 23 and I use my 3 pt all the time to use a rake and a blade and mine lifts off the ground at least 12” I found that adjusting the top link will change the angle of the blade or rake. So I don’t think that’s the problem by any chance are you installing your arms on your tractor the right way? I’m just asking? The adjusting links and turn buckles should be in the rear and the spacer bar that holds your arms on the tractor should be installed with the short part of the J towards the ground and the pin from the under side up and the keeper on top.

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) - An Australian court ordered a man to hand over a vintage plane worth about $215,000 after he tried to back out of an eBay auction, a newspaper reported Friday.
The New South Wales state Supreme Court ordered Vin Thomas to complete the deal after he changed his mind about selling the 1946 World War II Wirraway plane he had placed on the Internet auction site last year, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Peter Smythe, a Australian warplane enthusiast, was the only person to bid on the item, matching the $128,640 reserve price just moments before the auction ended in August last year.
But Thomas had already agreed to sell the plane to someone else for $85,800 more than Smythe's offer, and backed out of the sale, the newspaper said.
Smythe took Thomas to court, hoping a judge would force him to follow through with the deal.
Judge Nigel Rein agreed, saying the eBay auction formed "a binding contract between the plaintiff and the defendant and ... should be specifically enforced."

rlsmith my tractor had about 450 hours on it, since the repair I've had no problems since. I can't remember what the new warrenty is, I know I sure don't want to buy one myself I would have to say my dealer was kwick about fixing mine and returning it.

Congratulations on your new toy, you will love it. I use my BX23 for everything and the best part is you can change the attachment in a snap, I have a 60” deck and I like the way it cuts.once again congrats. :)

Art,.. makes a good point on size, I have a BX23 and I thought about buying a larger tractor when I built my pole barn. And at times I needed a larger tractor but my BX did just fine it took a little more time to do some jobs, but now the barn is all done and now my BX mows about 2 acres and works out just fine and it plows a 450 foot drive way and I have no problems with it. So in the long run the choice of the BX was a good choice. Big might be fine now, but in the long run will big be to big?

Kubota picked up the tab, under warranty 3 years on motor and trans I had 2 months left on my warranty. I got lucky the pump is big bucks. If yours makes that chattering sound when you press on the hydro peddle and you know it does not sound right must likely it’s the pump. Good luck.

I have a Clayton wood burning furnace in mine and it runs all winter long and my burns stays a comfy 70 to 75 deg. If your going to heat your burn/garage spend the money on the insulation it will pay off in the long run. Last week it was in the single digits and my barn was comfy warm.

I have a BX 23 and I have used the lock and my clunks in and out, I know you have to have ground that is loose so the tires will give, or you will be hearing a lot my than a clunking sound. Snap crackle pop.

I had the same problem, I washed my tractor and the hazard switch got wet. So I took the switch apart and found a little bit of water inside of it. The contact gap is so small that the water made the contact and the lights start flashing. So I dried the switch and sealed it with silicon and so far it’s been working fine.

I had a piece of 3/8 x1-1/2” bar stock bent the end to fit between the rops bar I used self tapping screws and mounted the lights to the bar, added a water tight switch on the bar run the hot wire down to the red wire. That’s about it, just add a little extra lead so you can turn the lights around.

Yesterday I washed my BX23 and yes the hazard light switch got wet and the light stared flashing, this was no big deal I dried the water out and sealed the switch. But while under the dash I noticed a dash board lamp hanging down I checked all the upper ones (turns ,oil, batt and glow plugs) and the bulbs were all in place. Just under that row of lights I found three lamp holes, 1) was for bright lights, 1) was for hazards, and the last one has a HST on it, so I looked in the manual and found on the schematic that there is a hydrostatic temp switch and I think is when the trans UDT oil get hot this temp switch closes and the light comes on. If this is true, where is the temp switch located on the trans?

And Yooper said living beyond their means many of the idiots buy these $300 $400 and yes $500 thousand dollar homes with NO money down and 3% interest only loans, and the loan is only good for three or five years and then reality hits now they have to get a real loan and find out they can’t afford the house in the first place. I just heard today that the unemployment in Michigan is said to be around 6%, but in realty it’s about 24% or higher, the 6% they state on the radio or TV is the unemployment in the last 6 months. They don’t tell you about the people who are still on unemployment or off of it do to the fact their time is up and they can’t find a job.

I just put in a new seeded lawn and I have bar tires on my BX23, when I cut my lawn I have no problem with the tires tearing up the lawn, just make large soft turns and you should be fine. The thought did cross my mind of buying turf tires, but at this point I’ve had no problem. Good luck and no hole shots.

If you look under the black plastic cover in line with your hydraulic fittings at the bottom of you valve assembly, you will find two hexagon caps about 3 inches long. If you remove the one that is close to the tractor itself you will find the detent assemble there, inside the cap you will find four ball bearings that when you push the joy stick forward it locks into the ball bearings and if you look closely on the detent to see if it is worn (from the lack of grease) there is no grease fitting on the cap. Hope this helps
