JParker, that right, I've been subtracting the difference between the two. I have a friend you just bought a Loflin grapple which is a 60", so in the next week or so, I'am gonna hook up to it to get in idea of how it will be. Hawk, go to the boomer board and read "My experience with New Holland" or titled to that effect. It's a eye opener by far, but the bottom line, find a dealer you can deal with no matter what color you buy. Ken have a good weekend. Thanks for the input.

vrenuguy, TSC sells Traveller Premium Universal Hydraulic Fluid which says it is comparable to UDT. I have not put it in my Kubota for warranty reasons, but do use it in other equipment and have not had any problems. I know the UDT is expensive, but so is the piece of equipment. Good Luck

Michael, sorry about your experience with the dealer, and congrats on the tractor. There is a lot of good input here, unfortunately most of it is too late for you. At this point, document everything, i.e. dates, times, discussions with whom, from where. Let the dealer know you are not satisfied with them. Don't beat around the bush with them, tell them outright, "I am not happy with your service" (someone in a position of authority). Stay calm, do not lose your temper and get into a shouting match with anyone from NH or the dealer. You are right, you spent alot of money and should atleast not have to worry about your straps when you drop your tractor off there. Call the State of Florida Consumer Services Division at (800) 435-7352 and find out what your options are at this point. Post the dealers name, and tell your story. Give credit where credit is due, good or bad. My new tractor had less than .5 hrs, no dents, no scratches, washed, a full tank of diesel and some Kubota hats in the seat when I picked it up. I paid 17,700 for my 3130 HST w/LA513 loader. I too looked at used machines, but decided against it. Atleast buying new, you know what you are getting.

Andy, be careful. I would question the 250 hours on a tractor that is 12 years old. That works out to a little over 20 hours a year, approx. That would be great if it is the case, but sounds like it might be 250 hours since a rebuild, which is not a bad thing, as long as it was done right. As for power, there will be plenty of it there. As for price, get it from Art W. Good luck!

TSC sells Traveller hydraulic fluid. I've never used it in my Kubota, but I do use it in other equipment and it says it is comparable to the UDT. It's $25.78 for 5 gallons. As for the filter, I use Kubota filters for warranty purposes.

My dealer told me the complete opposite. That for my warranty to stay intact, that I must perform scheduled maintenance per the manual. I used all Kubota fluid and filters on the 50 hr service and it cost me $266.00 and 2 hrs of my time. Small price compared to a 17,000.00 machine or worse yet a Kubota certified logging time at 65.00 per hour for non warranty covered work. I follow the manual, save the receipts, and keep a log of what was performed and date performed.

I looked at the Kioti 3054 and the Kubota 3400. Like you said both were in the same price range. What sold me was the dealer. I ended up buying a 3130 Kubota which was a little more. But the dealership, service, parts was the deciding factor. However, I do have a friend who has Kioti, and it is a very reliable piece of equipment. Good Luck.

My 3130 had a Hydraulic leak at the quick connect for the FEL, but like he said, a quater turn of the wrench and it stopped. Congrats and good luck.

Are you trying to sell the tractor? Why are there parts missing off it, i.e. radiator cap, starter, etc? Anyway, the 6200 series was built in 83 and had 15 hp.

I'am looking at the KK L-60-60 series rotary cutters and have the same feelings. I will be using it for work, and am wondering will it be able to hold up. I own the KK 6' landscape rake, and have found that a little common sense make it go a long way. But I am worried about the cutter. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I don't personally own a BX23, but I think that the tractor itself for grounds maintenance would never disapoint you. As for redoing that 200 ft driveway, I think you might be pushing the tractor beyond its limits with the stone work. I am not saying that the tractor will not do the work, but it would take a lot longer then it would if you had a bigger tractor. You need to get some input from kwschumm, Art W, and DRankin. They will provide you with the most accurate info. Good Luck.

I own a KK landscape rake. It has performed well, with tines being affordable and readily available. I use it commercially, so it takes a beating. I saved money by buying it and I am happy at this point with it. I've been looking at their bush hog.

Once you test drive the HST it will sell itself. I just bought one. I looked at the GST, but once I test drove the HST it was all history. In my opinion there is no comparison. I run the loader, bush hog, box blade, rake. It performs like a champ.

The flotation on the rear of the tractor works in the same manner as on the FEL. It allows the box blade to float evenly when the tractor is rising/falling. Nice option when doing a lot of box blading.

I just bought a 3130 HST with the LA513 quick attach loader. Home run all the way. The tractor is used for construction, so the loader gets worked on a consistent basis. The big advantage to the the 513 for me is the unlimited implements that I can attach to, i.e. pallet forks, grapple, root rake and any bobcat attachment that has the quick attach on it. This takes the tractor into a whole new category for work purposes. I run my back tires w/75% water. It is a workhorse with the 513. And if loader capacity is the most important aspect of the machine for you, figure out what the actual bucket capacity difference is between the 723 and the 513 and then figure out how many trips extra you would have to make on say a 16yard load. I say, for the 400.00 or 500.00 you save on the 513, you can buy another implement. I don't think you will go wrong. Good luck!
