I have a B2150 that I bought new in 1991 it has a gear transmission with Kubota front counterweights ,Wood RM 500 finish mower with 411 actual hours on it . I also have a 4 ft. Rotivator and a 5 ft. Gill scraper blade .......Does anyone know the ball park value of this tractor and equipment ? The tractor is just like new has always been kept indoors when not in use with the oil and filter changed every 25 Hours.....<br>

What tire pressure do you guys normally run your tires at? I was measuring my today and one was 4 lbs. I put 32 lbs in the front and 26 lbs in the back.<br>Thanks in advance.Tom

I will put my two cents in after have used a gear drive then going to a hydro, in my opinion there is not question about getting the hydro. The other place it comes in handy (other than loader work)is when you do a lot of close quarters work. My wife has a garden that is fenced to keep deer out and working in there without the hydro would be a real chore.
If neither of those apply to you, you might consider saving the money or using it to get more HP.

Shannon,
When putting your loader back on try jogging your loader stick around with the tractor off before trying to attach the hoses. This assumes the pressure is on the tractor side. If the pressure is on the loader side you can jog your stick around with the tractor off before disconnecting the hoses when you detach the loader. This seems to work very well for me.

I have a TC33D that I have had for over a year that does not have SS. I opted to go that way because that was all I could talk my wife into. I have no regrets for not having SS, but of course not ever having a luxury it is hard to miss. I don't feel deprived. It depends on whether you have to give up something else to get SS and if you don't your in luck. I would vote that you get what is going to make you the most satisfied with your tractor over the long haul. I think a NH tractor is certainly a good choice in either case.

Dave, I'm a NH owner. I would take a NH over a Kubota.
Just look at the to side buy side,the NH has alot more beef to them.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with Kubota.Look at both carefully
and you will see that the NH is better built.You look and you decide there all
good.

JonB brought up a good point. I just got a 3pt tiller for her garden and it took me about 20 min to turn that hardpatch and gully into a nice level garden that would have taken all day and worn me out so bad I couldn't take care of the baby all day.

I bet you'll eventually miss that ol' girl ;)

Is it me or does anyone else have problems with top link of the 3pt hitting the tool box in the back? I have bent the tool box holder and finally have removed what I originally thought was a great idea.

I had a Kubota L345DT that did that sometimes, what I would do is take it out of first gear then back in first gear then reverse it worked every time.

Thats what they tell me. It's common on Fords and NH, the motor does have 2800+ hours on it.
I did have the motor rebuilt by the dealer that I got the tractor from, but I only have about 50 hours on the rebuild.The only thing they found wrong was a bad rocker arm ,but I had them do the complete motor.
PS Bird my tractor was made in JAPAN not by Harley Davidson so I know it shouldn't leak or break down or fall apart. Anything else ?
It's still a nicer tractor than the Kubota L345DT that I had.

I am impressed with you ideas on a building. You have obviously given this much thought. I am not build a building yet, but will keep all of these sugestions in mind in the future. The only thing I might add is a shower/lav.

My experience was that I spent about 3 months looking at JD, Kubota and several NH dealers. I also spent a lot of time on this board looking at what people were saying about pricing. The dealer I last visited and bought from really did not haggle much and in the end threw in the bush hog for $500. But having talked to other dealers (I live in the Atlanta area and have access to many dealer of all brands) and knowing what the other people were saying, I knew the deal was good. It still took me 3 days to decide. Hope that helps.
