The CA and the CCA are different CA is at 32 F and CCA at 0F. The CA is about 390 for the average 22NF and 425 at the max. The highest CCA is the interstate at 390. Most are more like 300. Likely the interstate has thinner plates with less continuous power. CCA is limited by the plate size and the number of plates. All this is dictated by the size of the 22NF case. The gel batteries are about 350 CA and 245 CCA. I am not sure you will see much difference in actual use unless you are up north. Remember there is less self discharge in the VRLA. If you let the battery sit for a week it is likely the VRLA AGM will have more amps than the flooded battery.<br>
I think the battery Major found is a Gruber not an East Penn. Seaching there are a lot more 22NF on the net than when we looked. Posted are the specs on another 2 22NF VRLA battery manufacturers.

AV8R - I know kioti had problems with their dealers in the past as they did not have it direct from Kioti, but a US distribution company like Montana has now. They have pulled back some dealerships and tried to make sure they are financially stable before they give them a dealership. I looked into the local dealership here a few years back and talked with the area reps. I think they are in it for the long haul and have set up the parts centers to prove it.

Ibrown - are the handles color coded to the vehicle or just black? If they are just black the dealer should be able to switch out the handle for the one with the lock without too much trouble. I am sure the autoworker just grabbed the handle from the wrong bin. I am sure we can all relate stories that are worse that this with auto parts mix ups on NA auto and some Japanese.

You normally find that the fuel gauge on the tractor does not last as the tank is close to the engine and the vibration takes it out. In my mind the best thing is the cork on a rod. Some companies locate the tank behind the seat which likely helps.
The dealer just changed the wrong thing. It normally is the sender, but can also be the gauge. I am sure he will get it, just be patient. The Deere are as good as most and the dealers tend to be a little better than average, don't worry.

Pete; I agree Danes are expensive as they don't last very long and as with any large dog difficult to train. My bother-inlaw's had kept them for years going through a number of different dogs and they were well trained. I had a large golden retriever that would not hurt a fly, but if someone was frighten and he did not know them he would stand over them until I called him off.

Is the unit hydraulic? As you know the MF65 and MF165 have the adjustment screw. It would make you wonder if the throw out bearing or some other shim are incorrect. I certainly would want to look at the clutch once it was apart.

I saw the implements in the compact equip mag. but did not really look at the vehicle until now. How does this differ from the tructor which claims to be patented? I am not sure how they could be as Mercedes and Jeep were essentually the same thing years ago, but so be it.

Like Ken I wired the house and then bought the router box with the wireless. Naturally I ran the wire to a spot in the basement where my office was to be so the antenna is in the basement. I can use it with the laptop anywhere in the house but not out side. At the moment I like this arrangement as it limits anyone from accessing the wireless in the neighbourhood.
I might need to get a WAP at some point and place it on the wire up stairs.
The other kicker is the high speed access I got is actually wireless. I have an antenna up on the house. The only other option was satellite.
I looked into the cell phone wireless. Cingular has one, but I am not sure it is available in my area. If it is anything like my phone it would kick me off ever so often for no apparent reason. I am not sure I could handle the frustation of reconnecting every few minutes. Back to dial up with bad phone lines.

The hydraulics are normally set to release before you get mechanical failure. I doubt you can place more in the bucket than the loader can lift. I have placed things on the edge of the bucket where you are at the edge of what the loader is designed for.

Maybe its an EPA thing? Or the tire manufactures? If you have a bad bead and a slow leak. The siren would certainly make you think twice about buying a new tire.

My used 750 just had the plug disconnected and a jumper across it. I never realized it until it had trouble starting as the jumper came loose.<br>
It really depends what you are doing with the tractor. It would be nice to be able to change modes as needed. If you are picking up leaves with the bucket and loading by hand it is a problem.<br>
I don't suggest you sell the tractor with the jumper in place like the man who sold it to me did. You could end up in a law suit.<br>
Starting any engine is when you have the greatest amount of wear as the oil journals are not pressurized until the pump powers up. The aero engines have a relay that kicks in the ignition after the pressure is up in the engine or separate switches. A 1940's designed engine like the P&W WASP has a 2000 hour time between rebuilds. How many 1940's cars went reliably 120,000 miles? Some racing engines use an accumilator and pressure tank. Solenoids close the tank off when the engine is stopped and open when it is started pressurizing the journals before starting. These systems also allow them to run with a dry sump which decreases power loss do to splash.<br>
Newer oils have greater film strengths and lubricate better. Most of the reason that engines are lasting longer is due to the new oils, in addition to the new metal pairings in the bearings. Despite these facts I am convinced prepressurization would increase engine life.<br>
Sometimes I wonder about the things manufactures do to decrease the engines life, like not adding a pressure switch and relay. Maybe the seat switch has another function other than safety. I don't have one on my car or truck.

If you look through the approval lists on spec sheets the oils as DR stated are not all grades are approved for all engines. Deere is a good option if the price is right, but not always available in all locations. If the oil is approved for CAT and other power plants used in industrial applications though it is not much difference in application the Deere approved oil. Remember that CAT produces much more expensive engines than Deere. If you purchase a $50,000 power plant for your boat or D9 dozer you have to have the technician there when you first start the engine in the boat under waranty. You will find most of the constant power applications are using straight weight oils. In a CUT the starting and stopping of the engine shortens the life as much as anything. The Lucas/Deere synthetic RD is using is probably a good option. Once I use up my stock, I am going to also look at this option locally.

The last time I checked the auto paint people, duPont and the gang also sell impliment paint and the price is likely better. If you take it to the auto painter he will have a supplier.

It is much simpler than a car. The outer plate has the pads and all you do is remove the bolts and you can access the pads.
The problem is the price of the pads. You also need to inspect the cam and the pads for wear. Part of the problem can be the actuator cam being worn and not contacting the pads.
You can get the pads relined if the cost is prohibitive.

With your applications an alternative would be a larger older tractor like a Ford 5000 or a IH 544. The tractors above 50 hp tend to be cheaper as they are too heavy for the lawn. You have plenty of traction with a larger tractor and don't necessarily need the 4X. You can even find the larger 4x tractors with plenty of life left at more reasonable prices than the CUT.

I would look for a tractor that has a good reputation. The Kioti DK series is good. The older series are not as good but still respectable. There is a dealer in NC that sells the import Kioti which might be an inexpensive option for you.<br>
You have some very competitive NH dealers in your area. It seems Tarheel will match about anyones price, and beats most deals. For example they have listed pricing on a TC40A and loader on the web for $18,700 and a TC30 with loader for $13,700.<br>
