John Deere sells manuals on their website but they are expensive. Here is there weblink you can order from:

Another option is the try looking on eBay if you have an account. You can get John Deere manuals on CD much cheaper. You will just have to look around on eBay and see if you can find your particular model manual.

The rental upgrade kit/skid plate package if definitely nice if you are in a lot of heavy brush and vegetation that can tear wiring or connector plugs loose. The big drawback to the rental upgrade kit is that it is not compatible with a MMM or snow throwing and possibly some other attachements/impliments that require access to the underside of the tractor. It DOES offer a LOT of protection and added ridgity to the tractor and frame.

The last time I checked, these rental upgrade kits are obsoleted parts and no longer available unless you can find a dealer that has then on the self as NOS.

Congrats on the new machine. Sounds like you did well on the price and are very happy with it.

Murf, things are going pretty well as of late. My oldest daughter starts college next month and with the help of the district attorney I have been able to get some peace on the mountain. :O) After a lenghty felony arson, drug, and game poaching prosecution, I believe the dirtbags get the message now.

Are you sure this is not a safety feature that you are dealing with? On some mowers, you must pull up on the mower pto knob/switch BEFORE you backup or the mower automatically shuts down. Kubota does this on some models.

Do you have access to Chevron brand lubricants? If so, Chevron All Weather Synthetic THF is for all practical purposes Kubota Super UDT. Chevron makes many of the lubricants for John Deere and I suspect you find they make them for Kubota as well if you take the time to track down the MSDS information. <br>

None of the tractor manufacturers manufactures their lubrants or other fluids. They are all contracted out to various petroleum refining companies. You CAN find the equivalent oil refining company brands that are MUCH cheaper.

You might try swapping in one of the other identical relay modules on the fuse/relay panel. If the problem goes away, you have just verified whether your original relay module is faulty.

Well.......this thread is still going over 4 years later. In the interest of FULL disclosure even at the risk of cyber-egg on my face.......someone pointed out to me that this video is a HOAX. In actuality it is a video of someone shooting rock chucks or some type of similar rodent. Look VERY closely. I may be mistaken but if I recall correctly (and I rarely do) :-) You might try verifying with your NH dealer about replacing this fuse with a circuit breaker. I think this was a change NH made in years past.

Hello Dennis! We had a bout of the really hot and some cool weather the past few weeks. Got about 8 inches of rain in 2 days. Filled my pond up a bit. The blackberries are about done and we are hoping to do some honey extracting in a few more weeks once all of the blooms are gone. This will be our first year harvesting honey from our hives. We started out with 2 hives last year and ended up with 16 this Spring but small hive beetles took out 2 weak hives. The rest seem to be doing pretty well. <br>

Check your operator/shop manual or dealer and ensure you have the correct fuse in place. It may be the correct amperage but it may require a special slow blow type fuse or a breaker.

Also check and ensure all your grounds are clean and have a good contact.

Cutter, I think these protest ralleys are a great thing.....the big question is will the sleeping goliath go back to sleep come next November and November 2010? AmeriKa's voters have oh such a short attention span and memory. We as a nation had a chance to elect a SINCERE and constutionally oriented candidate last November and most people threw their votes away on Democrat and Republican candidates. I think you have drawn the ENTIRELY WRONG conclusion.

NOBODY wants to have a peaceful, productive, and community involved and oriented existence more than I do. Wishing for it will NEVER make it happen though. Freedom has NEVER been free and carries tremedous responsibilities and duties.

Ann, the philosophy and "theory" of freedom & liberty is VERY SIMPLE........the freedoms, rights, and liberties outlined in the Constitution, especially the 1st 10 amendments to the Constitution "WE" are ALL born with. They come to us and are endowed upon us by GOD.

The government that "WE" the people created and enabled has the PRIMARY mission and sworn duty of protecting these rights AS WRITTEN in the Bill of Rights and Constitution. The government IS our servant and NOT our master.

The above all sounds great and I would think everyone would support and agree with this......at least I do. Where in lies the rub is that MANY of us who have been endowed with these great liberties and freedoms have chosen to ignore and omit the GREAT RESPONSIBILITY that comes with GREAT FREEDOM.

Less than 40% of the eligible citizens even bother to vote. Most of these voters are politically and situationally TOTALLY IGNORANT. Hence, since the turn of the century starting with President Taft who proposed a national federal income tax and excise tax, on through Woodrow Wilson who presided over a totalitarian "progressive" (read fascist) reign of terror and abuse followed by 16 years of FDR who took this to new levels. We now find ourselves so willing to accept ideologies, ideas, and conduct on the part of the government that in long past years would NEVER have been tolerated. This national/geopolitical cancer has slowly advanced and metastasized to the outrageous and out of control government we now have (see the frog in the cooking pot theory). This is NOT a republican or democrat thing as the republicans and democrats are pretty much versions of the same thing. In recent times our last republican president set new standards of abuse and oppression propogating his vision of liberal fascism.

The thin thread that our constitutional representative republic hangs is unbelievably fragile. All we have to do is rewind the tapes to New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. This combination tragedy/attrocity is STILL on going so long after this event. So soon we forget how civilization collapsed and even the police were looting, people were committing all manor of horrible crimes, and guns, ammunition, and food stores were being confiscated (read robbed at gun point) by police and other government officials.

Another example of how fragile our civilization is would be the Rodney King riots.

I don't think ANYONE here is advocating armed uprising or violent government overthrow or ANYTHING of that nature.

What I am saying is that apparently MANY people of ALL political stripes and ideologies ARE VERY scared. They ARE buying unpresidented amounts of survial/barter stores of various types, gun, and ammuntion. WHY??????? My thoughts are that I think it is PLAINLY apparent that MANY people are convinced that our society and its government are TOTALLY out of control, out of touch, and have grown to become of the thinking that "they" are unaccountable.

I was of the presumption that you had already more or less done this. In that case, I strongly second what Ken suggested. Wires being torn off of servo heads and other areas is no uncommon on these tractors.
