It sounds like to me that you are taking to big of a bite and are missing some of the grass. I usually have the mower wheel on the right side going down around where the cut/uncut line is to make sure I don't leave a strip. On a turn, leaving a strip is common in heavy thick high grass. Try to vary your mowing style a little. If it was something wrong with the blade, it would show up in the middle and the right.

Ditto on the 4WD, especially if you are moving snow and you've got more than just flat terrain. I also would almost have to insist on having a diesel power plant rather than gas. I have a few year old Cub (Mitsubishi Drivetrain) and now part of that line is made by Mahindra. So if there is a Mahindra dealer in your area I would look at them as well.

Thanks for the clarification - I haven't seen a grapple, and the picture made it look as tho there was a solid bottom bucket. Seems like I could use a large number of attachments, I guess that's the beauty of having a CUT - your inventory sounds great. I'll add pieces over time but for the moment need to get the heavier stuff under way. I've got a contractor working on major landscaping right now - using a Komatsu 4 wheel loader with a 5 ton bucket - but when he's done there'll be a lot (months!) of finishing off to get to lawn, shrubs, trees planting etc.

Its got a beefy drive shaft, no engine i have the back fenders just i took them off to work on it. Its a 4 speed 123 reverse. Cast Iron front axle, straite. Round headlights the hood extends over the headlights, BUT there is no split between the headlights. There is no raise there its just flat with two healights.

By moving dirt, are you talking with a FEL or a rear blade?

Some folks have complained that NH loaders are weaker than kubota's. Near as I can tell neither machine has position control on the 3 point.

Assuming HST's in both, I suspect there isn't a nickels worth of difference in performance.

I would encourage you to seriously test drive both... you just might find one has a geegaw that pokes you on the butt and the other fits you like a glove.

Hi, just got back to my computer. I need to upgrade my membership, so I didn't see all of your post. Where were you guys last fall when I posted? I now have a set up on my tractor, but had to weld cracks, replace bearings . etc. Please respond to doncan1500, provider is earthlink.net How much do you want for the setup?
At this point, I don't think my better half will stand for any more investment in mowing.

It's not just tractors, Ken. I will not buy a rifle without iron sights and I resist putting scopes on them. Someday I may have to give in.

I wouldn't buy a car in the seventies with power windows because they were the first thing to break, especially in cold weather.

Now you can't find a car with manual windows, but in the interim the technology has matured to the point where the device is more reliable than that old fashion crank.

So it will be with tractors someday....

I am new to the board but from reading past threads understand your a Kubota dealer. Have you been selling many Kubota Zturns? Have you had positive customer feedback on them?
What features on the Kubota line make them stand out from the competition? Also, I know you dont give price quotes out, but is there any range in pricing you could post to give me a ballpark of price. Seems many of the reputable zturns are $6-$8k. Thanks for all the input, much appreciated.

your to cheap for a FEL, I am to cheap for a backhoe.
I know I am going to regret not having one.
but no cruise control! oh the horror.
The BX2230 will be delivered tomorrow with no loader, a 60" mmm , pd25 post hole auger, and a 48" box scraper.
Should keep me occupied until the loader shows up.

The pond is going to be a big job but I want it done right... Going to go to 18-20 feet max. with the majority being 8-12 feet. I think I am going to try to reuse some of the brush pile that was created when the pond was originally dug.

If anyone has any more info on PHDs for the 4310 I am all ears.
