One of the reasons he might be talking the B-7500 is the fact that BX's aren't available at this time. They have all out to the dealers and we are currently selling August tractors.

You might even have a pilot bearing on it's way out. It is hard to tell but if they have never been changed either could be the culprit. They are not greaseable on those tractors other than with a cheater seal greaser and without disassembly at best you might be able to do the throwout bearing.

$J.D. 4610 w/30 hours I overextended FEL and fractured hydraulic cylinder rod. Also bent rear blade. Both fixed at no charge. While dealer doesn't give mugs and hats, I'm very satisfied with service. Would buy from them again. Also, couldn't be happier with the 4610.$ New Tractor Survey

I'd rent the tractor and rake for a day, and get a sub-compact if you feel the need for more than just a lawn mower. Either tractor you mentioned would take a 72" mower vs a 60" on the smaller tractor. You would find more comfort in the smaller one on a day to day basis.

Calcium tubes can be repaired you just have to rince them off well. Weighted tires with liquid is not the best way to go but is the cheapest alternative. I figure never been any tests done to accuratly calibrate it, but this is my observations. Weighted tires loose 20% of the efficiency of the weight being added. Another words 1000lbs of calcium or windshield fluid is equal to 800 lbs of cast on the wheel. I might be off a few percent and it would not be favorable to liquid. The liquid hinders the flex of the tire so it can't flex to the ground a quickly.

Yikes Willie! This saga is starting to make my neighbour's problems sound like a picnic. The next chapter could be that the health inspector gets involved and decides the septic systems aren't up to code and the leaching field can't be repaired without bringing the whole system up to code. And then, a following chapter might be that a survey determines that a conventional system can't pass codes on the property. That's how a hotel near here got the $60K system that eventually bankrupted the business. It's story also started with equipment breaking leaching field tiles. Last chapter in a terminal story might be that the owner took an easy dig contract and can only argue negligence in court. Oh well, there's always composting toilets. Hope the real story comes out a little better.<br>

Interesting facts Mark, good work. From being around for a while I've seen hitches from 8n's to the newest tractors of all sizes needing to be adjusted. From catagory O to catagory 3 hitches that have needed to be adjusted. There is no perfect here!!! It just depends on what you are doing. Don't think for a second you can take a machine setup for one tractor and just move it to another because they both have catagory 1 hitches. On your other side see how many times you need to cut the pto shafts or worse yet add on!

Thanks Jeff for filling in. I don't have a 2150 at this location right now but a 2910 comes in at a tight 8 9/16" to 8 5/8". I believe they might be a metric number so I would beware. Tech support in most any company we work with wouldn't have those numbers. You have to get in with the designers to get those numbers.

At our dealerships I have not heard of this problem and it very well maybe just a one time thing. When assembling tractors or cars or most anthing often there is foreign particales of metel loose in the housings. Sometimes it might be brass from the hammers they use or in this case the threads from the filter. That is why they change the fluids at 50 hours the first time instead of a longer interval.

Chief -

What I did for my PHD, was I dug a hole into the ground where I wanted to store the thing slightly deeper than the auger length. Set three open ended 5 gallon pails together, or a piece of corrugate drainage tubing will do also, and set them into the dug hole, flush with the ground. I then poured a small amount of cement around the pails for added rigidity. On top, I leveled the cement and let cure. After it was cured, I took two pieces of PT 2x6, and cut a 3" half moon in each. When you apply both half moons together, you end up with a true hole the size of the auger shank.

As you back into position to unload, simply lower the PHD down into the hole, just far enough to locate and set the 2x6 pieces around the shank of the auger below the gear box, then lower the rest of the way. Once lowered, your PHD is now sitting on the 2x6 boards, and is at a very comfortable, stable working height to detach or attach.

I dug down deeper, to allow extra water drainage for the wet season...works great and is a dream to connect and disconnect by comparison to a "stand". This way, Mother Nature is holding it for you and one does not have to worry that it will fall over on oneself. Depending on the auger size, either a bigger or smaller tube needs to be used for proper dimensioning.

Thanks dcarp, it would be very interesting to hear about what exactly the egt's do with the edge installed. I am still getting my Cummins broken in. Later on I am thinking about an EZ or VA but have not decided on which.

Sounds like something the Germans hunted with. There are very limited in the number and type of guns they are allowed to posess so they have combination guns like that called "drilings" because they can be 3 different guns with a tube set. a shotgun/rifle & double rifle. Krieghoff makes some which were very beautiful but also very expensive.

If you have swimming pool it certainly can double as a source of water for fire.

The newer stuccos are polymer modified and have plastic mats not wire. The material I used has a 30,000 psi break pressure over foam.

Richard, I also had to buy gloss plugs one was bad and they cost $15.00 each for shipping and tax. I brought mine thru the local NADA aut part shore, they brought them in CA and sent them to me. About the transmission oil go to tractor supply and ust the stanard transmission oil they have for all tractors. NOT AUTO TRANS OIL. Drain and change and clean filters.

I recently purchased a 72" Buhler Farm King side discharge & I'm very happy with the cut & the simplicity of this mower.I run it on a 7274 Cub & after using the MMM that I bought with the tractor this mower does leave a better cut,and the ease of removal is wonderful

I will be getting a new B7800 soon and would like a box to go with it. Since I am new to the tractor world, I am new to the implement world also, :)
Anyway, I need to do some leveling, rutt removing, filling in low spots, general landscaping. What type of box do I need to get, Fixed Bar Box Scraper, Rollover Box Scraper, or a Retractable Box Scraper? I am sure there are price differences and depends on how much I can spend. I'd just like an idea of what these can do and which one would be better for me. Thanks in advance!!

A friend of mine just received a lease unit, a new L4630. Similarly, he plans to do what your planning to use it for.

I cannot see why you would need to go bigger yet. The 4630 affords plenty of power to drive a post hole digger with plenty of might to spare, and as far as a bush hog, unless the hog would be HUGE in size, the 4630 works real good from what I witnessed. He presently has a six foot bush hog.

The tiller will probably use the most power, however, you'll be operating it at a considerably slower pace than that of the hog. As I have used the tillers for many years now, though on smaller machines, they do suck down power if conditions are right,99% of the time...you won't even notice it behind you.
