It is interesting how people view the same equipment differently. I would NOT like the operator presence system. I do like the layout of the 2210 better than the Kubota, it seems a little better thought out. My B7500 does have a clutch on the left foot side for starting, high low, and PTO. Again, I really like the 7500.

I am thinking about putting turfs on my Shibura SD 1843, 4wd. Currently it has 9.5X 24 rice tires on rear Diameter 39.75", Fronts 6 X 14 diameter 24 Ratio 24/39.75= .60377
New Bridgestone turfs are rear 39.8 diameter, front 24.2 (according to dealers spec sheet) 24.2/39.8 = .6084
The measurements on the rice tractor are as on the tractor.

Will I have a wind up problem or is .60377 close enough to .6084.

Tom, aren't the mid PTOs running at different speeds from the rear. I don't have a mid PTO on my tractor, but I thought that they worked at about 1000 RPMs. Do the conversion kits make up for that or do they put new pulleys on the MMM?

I have used rear mowers before, and I think that you definitely need the guage wheels. I also like being able to back the mower under low hanging bushes. But you have to be careful on turns.

Doc, I think that I agree with you on more issues than those where we disagree. I don't mind if you have a different point of view. I do not think that you are a crazed lunatic. On the contrary, I am sure that you are extraordinarily careful with your equipment. It is evident that you know how powerful and potentially dangerous power equipment is and take the appropriate precautions.

The TC33 would have been my tractor of choice, but I decided to go to the next frame size because of the loader capacity issue. I tried out the TC33 and liked it very much. When I finally bought the next frame size tractor I considered the power reduction due to my altitude in the southern end of the Rocky Mountains (5300 AMSL) and realized that I would only get about 38 HP out of the TC45. I thought that was a good solution to my needs.

I understand my tire slippage issue. The load that causes the problems is a 70 ft telescoping heavy pipe radio tower. When I get a big load on the loader, not only does it lighten the rear end, but it really digs the front wheels into the sand. I could do better by putting some suitcase weights on the rear blade or mounting the 758c backhoe attachment. I am certainly glad that I bought a compact tractor and not a skid steer loader for this soil.

Perhaps the little tractors are rank indicators. Do they come in blue?

Johnnydee: At least the diesels I have in my equipment (except the Dodge Cummins) when all have run out of fuel or are starved for fuel have had a noticable increase in engine RPM. Since diesels are very closely related combustion-wise to 2 stroke gas engines (and there are 2 stroke diesels too) when the mixture leans out they will run hotter and faster for a brief moment.

The 4410 will handle the 6ft brush cutter. A seven foot would require a larger machine, a 5xxx series. The larger the deck the greater the chance of bending it and the heavier it needs to be.

I am sorry that few of our members have had any experience with the Kioti rebuilds. They have not been in the country all that long, it may attest to the toughness of the tractor that few have tackled it.
In a lot of the older tractors you could remove the pistons without dismantling the tractor, just remove the oil pan and drop them out.
It might be useful to pull the pistons and inspect the cylinders and bearings before dismantling the entire tractor. If the problem can be repaired with rod bearings and rings then this may be the way to go. At least you would have a better understanding of the problem.
I won't comment again about separating the tractor it is not that difficult, but it is often easier to work on in the tractor due to the high engine heighth.

I guess the main concern is the bottom of the ramp. How Do you extend the ramp 5-10 ft below the depth of the water.
If you use a lot of ramps I guess we have all had the wheels of the trailer drop off the end of the ramp.
Most of the ramps here were put in by the ACE and are very good. As the water levels are controlled for navigation I suspect that they were planned and put in when the dam was empty.
These structures are similar to what you describe except they have the expansion joints on about 1 ft centers.
I think you need the reinforcing bar to extend from section to section.
You need to look at the bottom of the ramp critically whether you use hydraulic cement or wait unit the river is at its lowest level to pour.
One hydraulic cement supplier is Jet Set.

Well, this gets more indepth here boys, as when I get into the big book with the pictures of styles of there tires they go to the BAR-TURFS for that size on those tractors. They do also use the tire you described Willie but not on that ractor. The Bar turf is a lower profile than the standard turfs.

You might want to re-think that 13,500 price. I bought a used 2002 B-7500 here in Detroit a few months ago. I paid 13K for a B-7500 with 39hours, Loaded tires, 302 FEL, 60" Bush Hog RFM, 60" Leinbach scraper blade and 60" landscape rake.

But maybe I just stumbled across a real good deal.

Yes and I agree too. I was just thinking through the problems of doing a conversion. I don't think I'd want to actually do one. The problems seem many and big.

If my larger steering wheel idea doesn't seem very practical, a 3ph ballast box might be a realistic alternative that's a bit short of a different tractor.
