same folding rops.
same loader.
only differance is I went for the heated cab.,
and a weight box.
seems dangerous not to have a cover.
just my two cents.

Hello All.My 790 has 8 hours on it and i've noticed a "pulsing" in reverse,seemingly in low range only.It appears to do it mainly when backing downhill,although i have noticed it do it on level ground.Seems to be uneffected by load. It's borderline "jerking",but it doesn't do it continuosly.The tranny doesn't make any unusual noise,except for the slight high pitched whine when in low range.Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hello, has anyone had any experience with a Boomer not starting because of the PTO thinking it's engaged when it's not? I've already reconnected the two wires under the left fender & checked the PTO fuse. With the lever disengaged, wires connected & a good fuse - the lamp is still on, on the instrument panel, and because of this it won't start. Any ideas would be a big help. Thanks, Donald

I'm in Vt, and while I'm not curent on prices, two years ago I paid 17,750 for my B2710 with a 60"midmount, FEL, and a little 48"woods rotary cutter with the slip clutch and stump jumper. I am told I got a super deal, but if the woods is $750, then your quote is only 2K less than mine was 2yrs ago . And there's still the B2410 in between (it was the 2100 and 2400 back then).

I didn't finance, however, I saved up for 3 1/2 years and paid in full. I don't know if prices have gone up that much, if your quote is high, or if I got a better quote because I didn't finance it, but I'd shop around.

Al, I don't know, but surely some of the cargo trailers have shock absorbers (probably not very many of them though). I know some travel trailers used to come with shock absorbers and some without, and having them made a big difference. The only ones I was familiar with just used regular car shocks, but I would think a good welder should be able to put brackets on the trailer frame and axle (I know; you want to be careful about welding on the axle - so you might be able to make brackets instead that could be bolted onto the axle with U-bolts) and of course measure the distance between where you want the brackets and decide how heavy duty shocks you want; should be no step at all for a good fabricator.

John - I agree. Dragging chains on the frame would be a bad idea. I'm using a NH TC33D, which has a little extra clearance. Other things to watch for are the hydraulic lines for the loader, and the rear fender clearance. I noticed when I looked at a 4300 that the clearance between ag tires and the fender might not allow for chains. - Jeff

Hi Randy. That's with 4wd & SCV's. I don't know about the mid-pto or block heater though. I'm in Upstate New York (little cold in winter) and most of this dealer's tractors have block heaters, and he delivers up to 50 mile radius with purchase. I guess the secret to selling is give the razor away so you can sell the blades. He said 99% of the compacts are sold with implements. Kinda hard to do any kind of work without them...

Have you considered going to an front or rear PTO-driven hydraulic pump and associated parts that only works the loader? That would sure make that loader jump.

I appreciate all the responses to my question regarding ARPS equipment. So I went searching the Net for more information and found little about ARPS. But I found a fun tractor web ring with over 100 sites dealing with tractors, many I've never seen before. It's raining here, no good for tractoring, so I've had some fun looking at different sites. Does $11,900.00 seem like a fair price for a 1999 year model Kubota with a LA450S Loader, 143 hours on the meter. It looks to have been taken good care of. I live in the NE Texas area. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

John have you tried the 4400 with loader? What is the lift capacity of the 70 against the 430? I think the hydraulics are a bit more on the 4400(my book is at work). Also look into adding a larger hydraulic pump to your 955...For under $1000 upgrade, you may transform your unit to stay for another 10 or 20 years.

I was at my John Deere dealer yesterday and saw a JD790 MFWD, 2001 Model, about the size of a JD4300, new for $10,600. I thought that was a lot of bang for the buck! I like Iseki (Isuzu engines)that makes the MF1200 series, but think MF is too pricey. John Deere has a promotion on the 790 and also 6.9% financing for 60 mo.

I had an Arps (National Loader) on my Satoh S650G, excellent quality. I didn't know they were still in business. I have two rakes, both Leinbach, 7 & 8' with gauge wheels, new $450/$500 w/o wheels. (wheels about $180.) We have York and Modern(same) in our area and the quality is equal if not better. Get some other quotes and look around so you have a "reference".

I had a Massey Ferguson 135 with a trip bucket loader. Just plain 2 wd, I had no other reference and thought I was in heaven. I used it mainly for brush hogging, protecting the sheet metal on the tractor and ripping the tough stuff out of my way (had manure forks mounted on bucket)with a 5' rotary cutter mounted on the rear.

I also had a Satoh S650G w/ loader, full double action bucket (moving up in the world folks) and that little 25 hp was a can do tractor, all in 2wd!

Well years later, I recently bought a John Deere 5202 MFWD with loader and 90% of the time it's still in "2wd".

So yes, a 2wd tractor can work great with a loader!

In your gravel moving pictures, you say the ROPS is folded down because you couldn't get into the shed with it up. Why was the ROPS down in the mud pictures? Was leaving it down the dumbest thing that you wouldn't tell about? I can't believe that so many people don't think "SAFETY". Our local newspaper lists all arrests and accidents. The amount of people mentioned that don't use seatbelts is unbelievable. HEY YOU ALL OUT THERE. WORK SAFELY!!
