Jeff, the regenerative circuit that Brent mentioned is supposed to prevent the delay tou are experiencing. It could be that the regenerative circuit is blocked out. There is an adjustable stop in the linkage which may be in the wrong position for loader operation. The stop needs to be in position if the scv is to be used for nonloader work. Ask your dealer about this.

Henry, don't worry about being able to pull a tiller with turf tires (unless you get one of the counter rotating tillers, which are pretty rare). Since the tines are turning the same direction as the tires, a tiller will actually propel a small lightweight tractor forward. They require almost no pulling power or traction. When I had a B7100 Kubota, if I put it in high range, the tiller would sometimes try to push the tractor forward, but I had no problem in low range. Now that I have a B2710, it's heavy enough the tiller doesn't push it forward. Try to get a tiller that's as wide or a little wider than the outside of your rear tires, i.e., one that will cover your tracks. Naturally, you might have a problem pulling a plow or disk in some conditions with turf tires, but not a tiller.

Mike, right now I don't know what would cause the temperature fluctuations you're talking about, but I do know you don't want to run undiluted antifreeze. In fact, it should be no stronger than 50/50 mix. Where and how are you taking the temperature that gets those fluctuations?

I am looking for comments good are bad on the Farm King 60" rear discharge, rear mount mowers. They are priced well below woods and landpride, and JD rear mounts. My JD dealer sells the Farm King. If anyone has experience with the Farm King I'd appreciate your feedback. I will be using it with JD 4100.

I have a tc29d w/ss and it is the best feature of the machine. I will caution you however, the rust may be on the new one you order in if you live in the salt belt, mine was built in Jan. and delivered in March with rust. You may want to check on a different brand mower as well, if you are buying one. The N/H deck is very heavy with only minimal support with four very narrow gauge wheels that allow it to sink into the soil if it is the least bit damp. After I bought mine I had an opportunity to use a Bush Hog model finish mower and it had large flotation wheels that did a great job. Same goes for the Woods models I have looked at. Also, the components of the SS require the tractor to be lifted up to gain clearance for removal of the belly deck. Do your self a favor, go to the N/H distribution center with your salesman and pick out a tractor to be delivered to the dealer, ensuring a clean machine. Good luck.

Dana my 4400 with R4s is 60" wide. The wheels are in the widest position. If I remember it was 58" with the wheels in the narrow position. Chris

Eric, the hydrostatic does get better with time. In fact, I wouldn't want anything else. But being used to a geared tractor, it did take a little time for me to get used to the hydrostatic. I think our natural inclination is to use the hydro pedal like an accelerator, and that just doesn't work. You'll either stall the engine or spin the wheels. Once you learn to set your throttle properly, and then remember that using the hydro pedal is more like changing gears, i.e., ease down on it for slower and more powerful, push farther down for less power, but more speed, well, it's just the fastest working, fastest direction changing, most convenient, easiest, and safest transmission I know of. But of course, I realize it's not for everyone; there are reasons for some folks wanting something different, but not me.

Hello JD owners just curious about my latest JD 4400 price qoute I want the 12/12 shuttle shift ,72" belly mower and the JD 430 loader with quik tatch system I think 25,000 $ is rediculous but it might just be me because thats the price I was given for a NH TC35D with super steer with same above equipment plus front snow blower and all weather am/fm and tape deck

John, my rear tires are smaller on my Kubota, and the maximum "working" inflation pressure is 16 psi (I'm running 12 psi), but I believe it says to not exceed 35 psi to seat the bead when first putting the tire on the rim. I don't want to tell you what to do, because I cannot say absolutely for sure that you'll never have a problem, but I know if it were me, I just wouldn't worry about it. I don't think you'll ever have a problem.

Problem:<br>I have turf tires on my ford 1320. I want to switch to ag tires. I can't seem to find ag tires to fit a 13.6x16 rim. The ford dealer quoted me $1000.00 for rims and ag tires. I am looking for 12.4x16 rims and tires or just rims to swap or sell. Suggestions welcome.<br>

I can't help you with the placement of the lights - something that I have casually thought about from time to time myself. What I can tell you is that if you weld them to the ROPS you are risking your life with a ROPS failure when you need it most. Welding or drilling a structural element like a ROPS can damage its integrity and you won't know it until the weight of the tractor is on it. Please consider using a clamp of some sort.

If you are looking to repair a cracked block on an old tractor that does not have a pressurized cooling system here is what I have done. Used epoxy to close the cracked with some fiberglass cloth to bridge the gap. Clean the block real well first than go at it. so far its held over two years, but I'm not using the tractor except to putt around.

Hans - Thanks for the feedback. I have the standard axle on my tractor. I also noticed that if I hold down the HST pedal with the trans in neutral (I assume this cycles the oil), there is no squealing. I'll try to lubricate that drive shaft better as you indicated and go from there.

I bought a used 1070 with 250 rental hrs on it. I've put another 100 hrs on it in a couple of months but now find shifting to be difficult both between ranges and gears. I understand that the transmission is syncronised but does this mean that the shift between ranges is sync as well. I have asumed that I would need to be motionless to change ranges but now shift in between gears is also difficult. Is it possible to need a new clutch already or is the problem a damaged transmission. I have used this tractor hard but have been kind when shifting. Thank in advance for any input.<br>

Are you saying the reception is good when the tractor is parked and not running or parked and idling. Is this radio made for a vehicle? It may not be shielded properly from interference although there is no spark on a diesel like a gas engine. Need more info.
