Does anyone know how well the shuttle shift model works on the NH TC35 i've drove the hydo model and can't get comfortable with it on any of the colors no local dealers have this model in stock i've driven the MF 1250 and liked it but there implement selection is slim and they don't deal with woods , land pride or any other aftermarket implements and I want a full service dealership . Also I wondered if there is any way you can have the shuttle shift and super steer my dealer is out of town at a conferenceand i'm still waiting for him too reply to his voice mail . Do you ever get used to the hydro tranny with the loader I can't get the touch of not having throttle control while digging into the pile i've stalled more tractors than I thought possible after 10 years of driving fork lifts , wheel loaders , skidders , pettibone , dozers ,backhoe/loaders and my farmall M please say they get easier with time Thank YOU !!! :-(

Eric, the hydrostatic does get better with time. In fact, I wouldn't want anything else. But being used to a geared tractor, it did take a little time for me to get used to the hydrostatic. I think our natural inclination is to use the hydro pedal like an accelerator, and that just doesn't work. You'll either stall the engine or spin the wheels. Once you learn to set your throttle properly, and then remember that using the hydro pedal is more like changing gears, i.e., ease down on it for slower and more powerful, push farther down for less power, but more speed, well, it's just the fastest working, fastest direction changing, most convenient, easiest, and safest transmission I know of. But of course, I realize it's not for everyone; there are reasons for some folks wanting something different, but not me. ....
