Hughow, how can I find out where to look for the case crack on the Deere 110 TLB. I’ve always wanted one because I like the size, power and the skid steer interchangeability. I’ve something about the case cracking but really can’t find any details about it. Hoping you can help. Thanks so much.

If the battery and cables are good the only real question mark left then is the starter.

I'd really advise taking it in to get checked.

If it died out [u]after[/u] cutting 10 acres of grass it's a fuel supply problem.

I'm seeing issues with fuel line degradation the last while, I don't know if it's something their putting in diesel now to make it 'cleaner' or to make up for the lack of lubrication from the removal of sulfur or what. Basically the inner core of the rubber fuel line breaks down to the point it chokes off the supply of fuel to the engine. Usually shutting it down for a period of times allows the blockage to open allowing continued use, but only for a short period of time before it happens again.

It's a cheap experiment, change out all the rubber hose in the fuel system for new stuff and see if the problem gos away.

I did changed and tested the fuel solenoid. :(
There is fuel coming from part " No 120" on the drawing (before entering that engine block) but not fuel coming on the top where the fuel lines are connected to take fuel to the injectors.
There is a mechanical part on that block that can get clogged??

I took my battery out and had it tested under load and it said to replace. So I did that and have only started it a couple of times so far, so really don't know if that fixes problem. Have been under the weather for a time and waiting for surgery on my mouth, have plugged saliva gland. I hope my problem is solved and thanks for your help.

Unless the old engine suffered some pretty catastrophic damage I'd have to say a rebuild will be the easiest / cheapest way to go.

The freeze plug I replaced was near the center of the engine, behind the alternator and ahead of the starter. It was the one that is most accessible.

All of a sudden the starter motor will not kick in. Batteries are all OK but no action from starter motor - not even a click. What should I be diagnosing first and how. How do I jump start it bypassing the ignition switch? How can I test if the solenoid is getting power?<br>

I have some surface breakup on the garage floor. I had used the epoxy paint with the traction flakes. Nice at first but could not take the winter tires, salt, gravel and water. So it flaked the flakes and paint chips every where the tires were in contact. A real mess. I was thinking I would use a leveler or epoxy cement to redo the surface but am dubious of the tire traffic doing the same to it.

Thanks for your input. I did take them to a place near me that said they could fix them. I have no idea what the cost will be but I still have to take it to the dealer to get the new pivot pin installed. I have no way to safely do it myself. I don't know what will happen when the pin is pulled. I've never had to replace them before. Don't know if the top pin will hold it together or whether I will be wearing it all the way to the hospital. I do a lot of tree cutting since the Ash Borers have taken over my woods. I haven't had a good track record with the dead ones. Probably save a lot of pain and money by letting them do it. My dealer is pretty good, he'll work with me on it. He knows the situation, said if New Holland won't make it right he'd make it right with me. I'm fairly sure he will. Pretty good to me so far. I think his hands are tied because of the service rep. I would pay to talk to him.

It would seem somehow you are not getting a correct part number to where you are buying. Not trying to offend. I have a Volvo that the parts book which came with the machine list shafts for the bucket on more than one page and did not realize that and ordered off of wrong page.

Have you visually compared the two shafts? If so can you tell the difference? Do you know what the difference is? Still my recommendation is to take the wrong shaft and your broken shaft to a New Holland dealer or a good tractor garage may be a good option and show them what you are getting and then what you need.

Hard to believe there are two different options in PTO shafts for those tractors.

A lot depends on how thick it is, what you have to work with and how willing you are to handle the work, Time wise.

If small tractor and it is real thick make you grapple hook or hooks and toss them past the weeds of course AFTER you attach it to your tractor. This assumes you have room for the tractor to pull the hooks onto the bank. I have seen land levelers that use a link chain type design with hooks on the bottom side that would flex and grab but those are heavier I believe than you could easy handle to get over the weeds.

Depending on the weeds, chemicals. Before you go that way be sure you are talking to a knowledgeable person. Assume you have life in the pond you wish to keep. I would not trust a single source on a web forum for what is safe. I can tell you some very popular chemicals can be used in the right set up and are labeled for that but make a small change in your own situation and it is not safe.
