i have a mt372d 4x4 can be used for parts or can be repaired has good tires ,only needs main input shaft to transmission ,engine is good and all hydraulics is good

There aren't English manuals for the D26F , but there are manuals for
similar US models. The D26F engine was not used on an domestic tractors, so these manuals are the closest that I can find. Contact me at parts at sheaftractor.net for parts & manuals

A service/repair manual if possible but a parts manual for a D26F will help heaps too. <br>

After loads of searching I have realised it's not a common tractor/engine. It's got a J774 motor which relates to a 77mm bore I've been informed.<br>

The motor has been run by the previous owner with no air filter and is "dusted". Low on compression and difficult/impossible to start when cold.<br>
<br>
I require a set of first oversize rings and a gasket kit. None of these are available in Australia.<br>
<br>
Is this motor commonly used in any other machines as the N844 is?<br>
<br>
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.<br>

Anybody know the pinout on the ignition switch for an AMT600? Either by wire color or destination or both? Picked up an old amt600 that didn't have the switch, got a new switch but have no idea how to connect.

Thank you. Glad to hear you got it resolved. Idiots at the JD dealer. Blows my mind how they lack any urgency at the customer service level. Mine is the same way.

Bloggins, I'll correct words vs my thoughts. You're correct as it will start without being in seat, but I disconnect my seat switch so I can stand and stretch or stand and look around corners when I'm cutting long paths in woods and such. It would shut off on my tc30 without that seat switch jumpered. Both my gear handles have to be in neutral, PTO off to start. Out of habit I always start from the seat, clutch in etc. I think original poster may just be missing getting everything neutral and off.

I hope you took a reading at the alt. first to confirm the alt. is faulty. The reason is I have plug-in connnector midway that loses connection and I have to spray with contact cleaner to get it back. When this happens my battery runs down and the alt. output is ok. I should replace line without a connector.

I havehad same problem since shortly after buying tractor. Check front end pinon gear. mine stripped off. JD did half butt repair. welded it instead off replacing it.

The hood opening is a little lever on the dash to the right of the steering column, The hydraulic fill is on the back of the differential in the center top. The dip stick is to the left of it.

for what you have stated it probably isn't low.

Well, I guess I STARTED this thread -- like a decade ago. Our TC33 still has the "auxiliary” starter button that I put in there. I replaced the NH ignition switch once … at something like $45 … because the old one was intermittent. I tore it apart just to see – and it had MELTED DOWN. AND had dust / chaff in it !!

I put tape (Scotch 88 … I’m an old electrician) on the new one to seal it up. BUT within the year the new one was acting up as well. (fool me once – at $45 etc) SO I got a BIG (20 amp rating) toggle switch and just bypassed the ignition switch!! So there’s a switch down low on the panel that is ON … and another push button switch on the left side (covered by tape to make it water resistant). NO PROBLEMS since. So she’s been perfect for the last 8 or 9 years – except for the (hidden) gremlins that I’ve bypassed. (well, I just had a hydraulic hose on the loader fail – but at least that’s not electrical ;-) JL
