Some Chinese tractor dealers had a canister conversion, but I think it was for Jinmas. I'm not saying that one doesn't exist for Foton, but don't hold your breath.

On a separate thought, the engine oil should actually have been changed at 50 hours. Collective wisdom has determined that all the Chinese fluids should be drained and flushed after no more than 50 hours. From that point - once gear boxes, hydraulics, engine oil/coolant - are replaced with good clean North American stuff - you can then follow the maintenance intervals recommended in the owner manuals.

Ever since I had my son clean my 2002 John Deere 4 X 2, the battery no longer holds a charge and once I have it jump started, the belt squeals very loud for a period of time. The tractor also does not have the speed and acceleration that it once did. I have hooked up to a charger right now to keep the battery charged. Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you. - Robert

I put the line in the pipe and pulled it thru with subsoiler and drove the tractor back over it a couple of times, can't even tell I did anything. It work perfect its all hooked up. It was more work wiring the boxes up than it was to run the line. Larry.

Good point from Murf! On with the dry rot or slice. If the tire is dry rotted I'd be worried over inflating it as we have had them blow the tire while inflating!!!! Should be caged or secured.
Depending on what you have that might cut the tube as Murf brought up a blow out patch applied to the inside of the tire might help it last longer.

If you're willing to take the time and spend a few dollars on parts, you'll gain a huge amount of actual hands-on experience with the pump. (or even a chainsaw) The experience, alone, is worth a whole lot to a guy like me, because I have no access to a repair shop within 120 miles of me.

The way I look at projects of this sort is that if you were to take a class on rebuilding a pump, you'd pay a great deal of money for the training.......but spending a few rainy days in the shop.....even if you fail......is worth SOMETHING.

My theory is DIG IN. You won't hurt a thing by trying. Youtube has some of the best teachers in the world.....and it's all free.

Maballance,

Low oil pressure is a good sign of internal engine wear. The increased gap (due to wear) between the rods and crank......as well as the gap between the mains and crankshaft will allow oil to escape. When this happens, the pressure drops significantly.

A heavier engine oil may get you by for a while.......but the fat lady is warming up behind the curtains.

Oils all have different tolerances of water they will hold. The milky condition is from moisture and you had better do something to cure the condition.

It is far more of a problem in the north with the temperature swings from freezing to heat then in the south. When the oil gets more moisture then it can absorb it will build up in the lower areas of the transmission, the same place the oil pick-ups are. When the water freezes it will starve the pumps when starting and cause failure of the pump and possibly more.

The tolerances on older engines is larger then many of the new engines. The 410 in the owners manual will probably show a 30 weight for summer use. That doesn't mean a 0-30 it means straight thirty.

If you only think you can then probably you can't. If you feel that the factory pieces are to expensive, then you can't afford to let others do it.

To think that you could do it would mean that you can, be ready to spend some time as well as money.

I agree with your plan of attack here. Since this tractor is new to you, I'd let the dealer have the first shot at figuring out the problem, as well as how to make things right with you.

From the information you've provided to this point, I'd be demanding a different tractor. It sounds to me as though this one hasn't received the best (if any) regular maintenance. Stand your ground.
