Kenny, the plow tip or 'sweep' is almost always replaceable, they get beaten up in rocky ground and just plain wear out with use. <br>

It has a replaceable tip so they would also sell the sweeps, if you already have a middle buster maybe you could just swap out the sweep.<br>

Most steering valves are off-the-shelf valves, and are commonly available from most hydraulic suppliers.

You'll need to know how many gallons per minute your steering pump delivers, so that you can properly match that to a valve that will handle the flow. You'll also need to know the bolt pattern for the mounting bolts, and the port sizes for your hose connections. Armed with this information, you'll be able to find a suitable power steering valve at the following link.

The steering on your 3000 must be hydraulic power steering....I'm guessing.

If so, you have what's called a steering valve located somewhere just below the steering wheel.

Your steering valve has hydraulic hoses attached to it.

It's likely that your steering valve has blown a seal. There could be a problem with your system that create the pressure necessary to blow the seal.......or it may have just failed due to age.

Well, sir, for a woodworker and an artist, you sure seem to have a good eye for mechanical devices! The power pack seems to be well planned out and assembled in a very neat and orderly fashion. I'm very happy with your effort and the neatness of your work.

If you have a pressure relief valve immediately downstream from your pump.....in the pressure line....you could now plug off the pressure hose downstream from the relief valve and watch the pressure climb to the set relief point.

Remember now.....the pressure relief valve on your power pack should be set at about 2500 psi.

Your log splitter should have the pressure relief valve set at about 2000 psi.

If you run your splitter cylinder to full extension and hold the valve, you should see your pressure gauge climb to 2000 psi.......at which time the log splitter's relief valve will begin to dump oil back to the tank. It will hold at 2000 psi even while the relief valve goes into bypass mode.

If you close off the pressure hose immediately downstream from your power pack's relief valve, you should be able to watch the pressure climb to 2500 psi before the relief valve on the power pack begins dumping back to the tank. It should hold at 2500 psi while in bypass mode. You'll hear your pump begin to strain.....and this will quickly begin to heat the oil......so you don't want to run the system too long with the pressure hoses plugged.

I again congratulate you on the work you did on the power pack. It looks great! I hope you get a lot of use out of it.

In the matter of the oil leak, turbulence will push the oil around so it is difficult to find. Clean the area well with a pressure washer and drive it around or idle it for a few minutes, blow baby powder on it to see where the leak shows up again.

In the matter of the rear end, most rear ends have a drain on the bottom and a filler plug halfway up the housing. With the owners manual find which oil you need, drain the old oil and put the new in. Also, check for any additives it may require if it is limited slip.

I own a Ford F 350 diesel. It has a slight drip of oil. Have been told by a diesel engine mechanic that probably the leak is most likley not from the engine and that the best to do is get under and try to see where the leak is coming from. will someone tell me the best way to find the leak. Also will someone tell me the procedure should be to change the rear end oil. thanks to anyone for this info.

Have none of you had a string trimmer on wheels or used one?

I told me wife if one on wheels would not work would see about mounting one on side of the ztr mower deck. Found out real quick that I really did not want to do that...yes I am married and happy have you know!

Think I told you all dealer was willing for me to upgrade to a MS391 model. Either is a lot more work horse or the 290 never was running right. I have used the 391 about an hour last Saturday and then a couple of hours yesterday and it is a pleasure. It is a joy as it will cut right through a tree the 290 would build friendship with it took so long. Much more power than the 290. Again makes me think the 290 had issue from first cranking it or the 391 is a real horse compared to it.

I've decided on making multiple passes to depth. I bought 1 1/2" plastic pipe one length. I'm planning on putting the wire thru the pipe and pulling it in one shot. What is the best way to secure it to the subsoiler for pulling? Larry.

After you remove shield and loosen belt ,it should come off around the fan.and then put back the same way.
I had to replace a belt on a 245 and I think both tractors have the same belt system.
Do you have a manual? That will show you how to change the belt.

First of all, I don't recommend running a diesel out of fuel for storage purposes. Running out of fuel is never a good thing since the fuel is the lubricant for the pump. Running it dry and then sitting for a period of time dry could have seized the pump. With that said, when you had the side cover off, did you crank the engine over while it was open? You should be able to see the injection pump plungers moving up and down wile engine is cranking. If plungers are not moving, it will never start. SInce you say it ran briefly, I assume you bled out the system. I would still try bleeding again as long as pump plungers are working. There could still be a pocket of trapped air.

Greg: Thank you for the information, its worth a lot to get a reliable second opinion before I reassemble the engine. I agree with you about the JINMA documentation, it was inadequate when I bought the tractor five years ago and I can't find any updates. Part of my problem is that I have the obsolete Yangdong Y485 engine.

I need to get out walking and biking, the weight is pretty good. I have been on the same regimen for years now. I don't literal count any calories, but I have a routine that is the same, same, same, same, every day, easiest for me though and I actually prefer it.<br>

I would check motor oil stick or change the oil and filter ,the clutch on a M-F I think you have an adjustment under the left foot rest, Not sure which way to turn the set screw,but it is worth a try ,also your oil if a diesel should be 15/45 oil. And hope you don't need an overhaul.How many hours do you have on the 3075? And has the oil been change on a regular basic?

Ha, that is great! "a stationary rototiller"... That is exactly what it is. I should just park it over all of the gopher holes and 'till them up!

I am not sure of the tires sizes... I will check them out when I get home.

My wife has been giving me stink-eye after it broke 1 hour after buying it and driving it around the yard.. Putting the driveshaft back on in the correct orientation should get it going again. Hopefully I can get it making progress around the property without spending much more money on it. A full fluid and filter change with a coolant flush is due this weekend.
