Welding can blow the generator or Alternator as well as the control box.
Yes disconnect the battery. Keep the ground clamp as close to the weld as reasonable. Don't ground at the front then weld at the back.

I have a shibaura sd2643 i am attempting to mount the duel clutch pack after replacing the clutch and pto disks.<br>

Evidently, after snapping a bolt at 30ft pounds, i realized i better ask. NOTE: the disc pack assembly was not in solid contact with the flywheel when it snapped. and the none of the mounting bolts were seated completely.<br>

Chlaford,

Here's a Youtube video that may help you with the injector pump replacement. Timing is critical.

This video may not be too helpful, because your John Deere engine may require special timing techniques. You will likely need a shop manual for your specific tractor.

Hi <br>
Using a finish to cut a pasture or field<br>
is tough ,unless you plane on mowing every other<br>
week to get a nice look. But if you plan on cutting once amonth it will were the blades dull. I use both rotarybrush mower for the fields and my Landpride finish<br>
mower rear discharge for my lawn. There both 5ft mowers,3point hitch. I do not see a problem with the tire<br>
tracks on the finish mower.I tried the finish on the fields and it did dull blades. The price sounds good. If it is in good shape.

The plugs are dry, can put gas in plug hole and it will fire.

Check the yellow pages or on line for hydraulic repairs. Most any good sized shop would have what you need.

Follow the hose back to where it comes from. From your description I think you will find it connects onto the top of the engine likely the valve cover. It is meant to be left open, this is the crankcase blow by that you are seeing. All engines even a new one have some blow by that has to be relieved other wise the engine oil will be forced out past the seals.
I know little about the latest in government requirements for diesel engines, perhaps they require the recycling of blow by, I've never owned an engine with the latest requirements.

I have been sharpening saws for years. I like using a file by hand because it always has the right radius. Files wear out keep one or two on hand. In normal circumstances the saw should be sharpened every two tanks of gas. Look at every tooth closely for rounded edges and file them out. Oregon has a great rake gage, I always go about 1/32 below what they recommend. That is personal preference, some people don't like them that low. Absolutely never touch the ground with the chain. Your saw almost fall through the wood and use very little gas.Good luck

Yocsr1,

If you use a plastic pipe for the wire, you'll be able to pull the wire through the pipe after laying it.

Most people don't own a fish tape long enough for your project. In that case, you could use a piece of fishing line attached to small rubber ball, then use compressed air to blow the ball through your plastic pipe. Tie a heavy line to your fishing line, then use the heavy line to pull your wire through the pipe.

Now that I have posted that can not think of a lift arm that has any shaft that exits the transmission. All I can think of sit on a pivot point with the lifting coming from the real arms doing the lifting often about the top of the transmission or really rear end.

You might have a hair line crank there but would think that would have required a major shock load to a lift arm.
