Wertibnm2, I have a JD 4500 FWA compact Reverser w/loader (72" bucket & fork attach that changes out in seconds) A must for land owners of any size. I only have 9 acres but I work about 80-90 with this 4500, I can run a small sq bailer JD 336, move up to 2 5x6 round bailes at once,front,back or both. I find that I am using the forks 80% never would hve thought. I also added a wagner 3pt Back hoe (9ft depth) using the power beyond kit on the 4500. Of course whl weights are a must front & rear. I do have a larger Tractor but I find my self in the saddle of that 4500 most evey day plus its a fuel sipper. You can find used 4500,4600.4700, same chassis 39hp and up. Good hunting.

I am looking to buy a used Danuser 24p. I have a Yanmar 1300D which is 16HP and 13 HP at the PTO I think. I think that might be under powered for this chipper, but if I don't feed in too big branches, it should work right?

Can I give you a call to talk about your 24p?
I'd like to know how much the unit weighs?
Can I adjust the feedrate on the chipper?
will my 13HP power it okay?
How much is a used 24P that is in good condition worth?
Are parts available?
Does Danuser still support the 24p?

I am having troubles removing the starter. I have taken off the bolts but it still will not come loose. Is there something special that I am not seeing that needs adjustments as well? Thanks for any ideas that you may be able to share.

Update: Tractor is back together and working good. However, it is way too light in the front end for this bush hog as currently set up. Anyone have any wieghts they want to get rid of? How much weight is suggested from the factory. How much weight can be added via fluid to the front tires?
My fuel gauge doesn't work, properly, which is annoying. The red light stays on and it registers empty, even when full. Is this a sending unit issue, bad ground, or gauge issue?
I still can't believe that the rear pumpkin, only uses the transmission's hydraulic oil for lubrication.

Any recommendation on a brush cutter that should work well with the L3240? I have mostly woods, but after I cleared some paths I will need to keep the trails clean. The two larger areas requiring brush mowing are a little hilly but for the most part are flat. For areas that have a substantial grade I will probably just use my trimmer with a metal blade to keep them under control--not worth risking an accident.

I'm in a similar situation as a lot of other people in that I bought this chipper used and I can't find a manual anywhere.

Can you give me any insight as to how to remove the rotor with the blades and hammers on it. I was able to get the center bolt out but can see how the get the rotor itself off. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got a 1996 New Holland 6610S tractor. I done had to replace the key switch on it 2 times. The switch I replace it with was from Tractor Supply. It had a light yellow wire going to acc., it had a brown or black wire going to bat., it got a brown with red stripe wire going to st., & it got a big red wire & a light yellow with green stripe wire going to ign. After replacing the switch 2 time I went to a NH dealer & got a switch for it. The problem is the switch I got at the dealer got 1,2,3,4,&5 connection on it. The people at the the dealer could not tell me what wire goes where. If any one can help me it will be appreciated. I do not have a manual for it. Thank you.

one more thing,, when you torqued the head did you do it as described in the service manual. proper torque and in sequence

I won't mention any names...but....every time I take mine in for any service - it always comes back with a new problem.<br>

Had the steering problem. They replaced steering pump - but didn't repair the cylinder. Lasted about 10 days and problem returned. Took it back, and cylinder repaired. Since then, no steering problems. And, FULL maintenance done. All fluids, all filters.<br>

But! Since i got it back it now cuts out intermittently at any RPM. Just sitting - its fine. Any movement, and it may or may not start acting up. The engine does not completely stall out - it just momentarily cuts out. <br>

For some reason, I am thinking it is an electrical issue - safety switch, raw wire, loose wire, etc) - but 'electrical' is only a hunch.<br>

I've tried leaving the hood open to view the cutoff - but of course, the danged thing won't do its number so I can see if the cutoff is being activated.<br>

Any ideas? Suggestions?<br>

(I've pretty much sworn off taking it back to any dealerships in the area. Just too many screwups...)

Normally for the condition of popping out of gear I've found bad gears. The combo problem might just be a fork.

Universal tractor fluid (UTF) is only appropriate for common sump tractors. It's also sometimes called trans-hydraulic fluid (THF). It's used where both gear trains and hydraulics share a common fluid. <br>

Your JM200 is dual sump tractor, requiring gear oil in the transmission and both differentials - and hydraulic fluid in the hydraulic system. 80W90 is indeed appropriate for gear boxes and differentials, although in Alaska you might want to consider a synthetic 75W90. AW32 (or ISO32) is appropriate for the hydraulics, although in Alaska you might want to consider something thinner. Hydraulic fluids from ISO22 down to ISO5 are progressively thinner than ISO32. Don't know much about them yet, but multi-viscosity hydraulic fluids are available now as well.<br>

I am trying to find a schematic of the back of the motor to the oil housing. we have a leak and want to see what seals are used before taking it in to be fixed. Any ideas?
