<br>I would say Yanmar quality is as good if not better. They have sleeved engines. I had a Deere dealer call me to see if I could get a block for a small JD( I' a Yanmar dealer), because the cylinder wall was too thin to bore. I do not know if the bigger JD's are sleeved or not.

I'd reccomend a grey market tractor, espeacially Yanmar. It sounds like you need a small tractor. These tractors usually have under 1000 hours & features like 3 point , live hydraulics, & pto & are alot newer than the old farm tractors that many people buy for your kind of use. They are usually priced at 1/2 of new & 2/3 of used domestics.If you need more info feel free to contact me. I have several for sale.<br>

The tillers out sell the the disc harrow and plows in our area (SE) 50 to 1.<br>They usally do more tillage and leveling in one pass than a little light harrow does in 5 passes. Also they pull much easier than a plow and leave the sedbed as far closer to planting condition than either of the other tools.<br>The tillers are more useful in lawn turf bare spot repair and landscaping

The serious gardener may desire to "turn over the soil" with a "bottom moldboard plow" then use the tiller to level up the seedbed.

ps... remember to make sure your new tiller pto shaft is NOT TOO LONG when fully collasped. If it is, it will damage the pto housing of your tractor when in the fully raised position.

Have you looked at the JD 4100, 4200, or 4300? They will offer the Hydro. <br>I think the 4200 is the closest to the 1530. In michigan I found the JD's to <br>cost less.

Yanmar makes under 40 hp Deeres. they call them spec. tractors and they are not the same but simular and a lot of parts are the same. The Yanmars have more features in some cases such as more gears, more pto speeds etc. THey make many models bigger than 18 hp such as 2,000`s, 2500`s, 3,000`s ,3,100`s, 3,810`s that we sell and many more. I will be posting new information on the Yanmar F series of tractors within the next week or two.<br>I will also post the same information for the other grey market brands.<br>The F series of Yanmars is the replacement to the YM series.<br>These are very nice tractors. Actually I did not put down my third choice, the Kioti LK3054 you just described. I have almost decided that if I go with Kioti I would up it to the 30 hp. I did not mention it because it did not seem a fair comparison. For 1300 dollars the extra hp, live pto, shuttle, etc. seem worth it.<br> By the way, the haggle prices I've gotten so far are (includes loader) $12,800 - Kioti LK2554, $14,100 - Kioti LK3054, and $13,050 - Kubota L2500DT. There are lots more Kubota dealers I could haggle with, too, but will wait till I'm closer. I only know of the one dealer for Kioti, but will start checking around.<br>Thanks for your help.

Mike, The 4100 tractor is great for mowing. I use mine for my buisness, one thing that is nice is the 4x4 for mowing up hills. I use to use a 455 , believe me the 4100 far out performes the 455. As for a bachoe , i was talking to my dealer just before hand about one ,i to want one for my tractor. He said that a company by the name of Great bend witch already makes bachoes for JD is making a line of aftermarket hoes. therefor making parts easier to get. Some people talk about a hoe being to mutch stress on the 4100, i hope this is not true, maybe that is why JD has not made one yet.

George, I bought a 4100 tractor last August . I used a 6 ft york rake to level off the sides of a pond,that were prety rough, It worked great. Make sure if you go that direction, that it is a true york, and not some cheap junk where the tines will constantly break. Also make sure it has wheel casters on the back ,this makes all the difference in the world. 6 ft is a little much for the 20 hp tractor,5ft would be perfect. Another good idea was the box scrapper,but when it comes to the finnish work you will need a good rake. You know what i would do........BUY IT ALL YOU CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH......<br> We should set up a way of communicating to other 4100 owners... Anyone know how.I am from western NY.

I own a Kubota B7100 with a front end loader. I would like very much to add power steering and have been told by my dealer that it is not possible. Does any one know of a kit or way to put power steering on a B7100?

I changed my mind. After realizing that I keep around 50 gallons of fresh gasoline in the fuel tanks of my wife and my vehicles I ended up buying a sears 4200 watt gasoline generator. The availability of fresh gasoline, and sears practice of keeping parts available forever (at least it's that way on every other sears piece of equipment I own), were the deciding factors. I also bought a hand pump at Quality Farm & Fleet to siphon the gas from the fuel tanks. But I still think that someone should be building a 5KW pto driven, portable generator for the thousands of smaller diesel tractors around the country.

Hi Bruce...<br>The Belarus is a strange bird. it is rather akward & not very operator friendly in comparison to most out there. You can get a lot of tractor for a lot less than others but keep in mind they have no resale because you didnt pay for resale in the first place. Like most products originating in communist block nations, they are built w/ heavy castings due to the lack of materials needed for modern alloys. they leak more than most, smoke more than most, and have unique transmissions & antiquated electrical systems. their engines are good cold weather starters and run reliably. They are pretty well established in the U.S. I have sold several in the past few years mostly to those who could't justify the expsense of more common models. I now have a 68hp 4wd w/loader & cab, self leveling loader, & a new clutch for sale for $8500 See my point? If it were green, blue, or one of the other colors it would be 12500+ good luck Jim<br>

Thanks Jim.<br>The front-mount blower comes with the machine. My concern was if this blower has enough power to blow the snow a good distance. I know the rear mount-blowers do a good job but I'll be stuck with the front-mount if it doesn't perform to the standard of the rear-mount. Thanks again Jim.<br>Ed Halten<br>

I've got a 3 blade, 5 foot Kabota belly mower for sale. Came off of an L225,<br>ran off of a front PTO with an electric clutch. I would guess that you could<br>run it off of the rear PTO with a different belt and a pulley on rear. Lifting<br>was done with 2 cables and pulleys and used the rear 3pt. $500. OR OFFERS
