I think wheel weights do help with traction greatly. As far as loader work any weight towards the rear,either on the wheel or 3 point serves as a counter balance. that why you add it so the rear end stays planted.

Wbowhunt, fine looking machine. It will serve you well! That's a nice buck you have there, but If you let that younger fellow grow some he would of been a real dandy next year. I let 2 walk this year about that same size, It's hard to do but I'm glad I did, because next year they'll surely be hittin my Alpha again and they be real trophys. from 2 and ahalf to 3 and ahalf really makes a big difference. Still a nice one though!

DOC changed his handle to Misenplace haven't seen a post on here from him in a while but he did e mailed me a round deer season. haven't heard from him since though. He's probley been real busy workin on his property as he was telling me there were a lot of chores to be done there.

Chief, the MAX is really runnin strong, seems to just keep gettin better as the miles grow., Guess it's startin to break in some at 8913 miles. My wife's grandparents live in Sikeston and we too will be headed that way after the first of the year.

My wife just loves using the tractor, As a matter of fact when she's a the property with me I don't get much seat time in. I think she figured out that the one in the tractor seat works much less. That's why she keeps it full most of the time. Bye the way she quite the operator!

I'm going to side with DK35, for the price the KK is hard to beat, I've really put mine through a real work out last summer with no more than a few good dents in the blades. (That happens to all cutters). Probley over worked it , but It did hold up. Now If kept up once a season the KK will surely work out fine, as all the heavy cuttin has been done.If you plan on only cuttin once every couple of years the beefier cutters might be the way to go.

I'll try to post more pics next time I'm at my place.As far as the top hook up goes, I cut a piece of one fourth inch wall thinkness pipe inhalf and welded into place.that gave it perfect radius.

I made a fork set for my 790 fairly cheap, not to pretty but they work great, mounting is really easy,mounts the same way the bucket does. only need to get off tractor to install bottom pins. look at pics.

I have a 9 acre hay feild and too was thinking I would like to do it myself but learned real fast like it's been said , lot's of dollars to spend for such a small hay field. I was able to lift 1100 lb bales with my 790 ( the specs say it will only lift 860 lbs or so)As you can see in one of my pics it's almost bigger than my tractor.(VERY UNSAFE)I had a barrel of water on back for ballast and still was very unstable when trying to move. After that day I gave up on that idea.

You really hear a lot of bad about the dry brakes on the 790, I have had no problems on mine yet, but then I only have around 60 hours on it. Knowing there not the best system out there I really try to use them the least amount I can also.As it has already been stated use of the right gear really aids in this.the trick is to not punish something that is known not to be all that strong.

That's how mine are set and it does seem more stable, beings I have R-1's I could get a little more rear width by inverting ring section on wheel dish, but then I wouldn't be able to cover my tracks with brush cutter.

I burned a fork set up togather out of scrap steel that was very cheap. Sure isn't as pretty as some of the bought models but very useful. Infact they stay on the front most of the time beings there far more handy than the bucket.

The 5205 is much more of a tractor, and with the amount of property you have I don't think you would go wrong with that model.
