I've been getting quotes for a B7800 with the 402 Loader (FEL) and a 60" Mid Mount Mower (MMM). Everyone who has quoted has given $16.9k. This is a 30hp tractor with a 3 speed hydro trans and R4 (industrial) tires.

The B7800 is powerful enough to do what you are describing, but small enough to do yard work and woods work.

Now, if I can only talk the budget manager (WIFE) into it...

1977 Chrysler New Yorker 440" mill, leather, cloud-like ride, and even 15 mpg. (Not bad for nearly 6000# of iron.)

I've got an intermittant problem with the gage reading 0 psi, but the motor is running fine with no noise. So, I think the sender is going bad. Comments?

Don't (we) know it, Ken. We have just settled on a builder today, now to finalize the plan and engineering of the house. We are building a modified version of the below link. It'll look great overlooking the lake.

Trade in is a joke, admittedly by the dealer. $9k for BX w/FEL, MMM, Bagger, BoxBlade, and snowblower. I can sell out for $12.5K easily in this neighborhood. That makes a $4k upgrade to the B7800 w/FEL and MMM (quoted at $16.5k).<br>

Murf, do you think a 50hp with FEL is available in the $4000 range? Seriously? I'd love to do that, but I don't know if I can find one (regardless of age, hours or color).

The are definately comming. $5/gallon for aircraft gasoline will not sustain a market for very long.

This one (link below) is already certified in the new Diamond Twin Star and will soon be available (if not already) as STC in Cessna and Piper singles.

CMA (of France) maked a air-cooled flat six turbo diesel that will hit soon, too.

At this point the up-front costs on a geo-thermal system are prohibative. BUT, the system I am assembling (hopefully) will be upgradable to several differant alternatives in the future if they are perfected.

I was going to bump this thread back up, but you beat me to it. Thanks.

Please feel free to throw out other ideas. This is all good stuff to think about!
